interview with arie

http://www.arriemusic.com/

abyss: you have a amazing vocal range witch could suite you well in any genre what made you become involved with hip-hop music out of all genres?

arrie: I love all genres. I don't discriminate! If I could rap, I would do that too just to get my point across! I admire hip-hop artists to the fullest, and definitely want to dabble more in it. But I think I found my 'home,' if you will, in R&B/Pop. I want my songs to tell a story, I want my videos to tell a story, and everyone will see much more of that. And in this genre I think, not only suites my vocal ability, writing ability and myself in general, but also allows me to paint that picture.
abyss: how did you get involved in musicand what inspires your material?

arrie: I've been around music my whole life. My mother was also a vocalist and a writer. So was a lot of my family. I've always been a writer, so I started recording my own material in 05. My inspiration comes from everything. Love, hate, regret, life, want, need, etc. My music is my diary. What you listen to is what is really happening or happened to me.
abyss: you have been praised alot by alot of the a.b.e hip-hop scene who are some of the artist we can expect you to work with in the near feature?

arrie: I can't tell you how overwhelming it is to even hear someone say 'you have been praised.' To me, I'm just little ole me writing about my heavy heart and just wanting to make some music! Especially from hip-hop heads?! You would think they would shrug me off because I'm this young chick doing some pop tracks. It's cool.I love it. And I love them. It's all love. I'm here to show we can all make music, together, and get somewhere-TOGETHER! As far as working together, I'm ready. I have my eye on a few artists out here, and they got my eye on me. We'll make moves soon. I assure you collab tracks will be out soon!
abyss:i first got a hold of your music though george burnez whos part of the whole nyc fyl movement thats bout to take over hip-hop not bad for a first co-sign how yous lik up and can we expect you to work with himor any of his camp?

arrie: George Burnz is one of the illest emcee's I have ever encountered. FYL is all dope. Back in 2005 we went to the same studio. He was one of the first people to record me. As a matter of fact....he was my first collab and I did my first performance with him too in nyc now that I think of it! We have some tracks we did recently that he just needs to finish up, and who knows, maybe more tracks. I'm dying to get on something with J.Rose. I can't even tell you how ill this girl is! But I'm sure you already know. Delivery, lyricism, its all there. That's what music is!

abyss: you mentioned yourself you havent put music out in a year and all a sudden your in local demand should we be expeting anyty new material soon to capitilize on your growing buzz?

arrie: As sure as my days keep coming, I keep living, so I keep having something to write about! So yes, there is new material coming soon. Songs and videos!

abyss:the local hip-hop scene has had few vocalist get buzz around here and your success locally has scene alot more singers coming out you will even be doign a set for the network at pitchers how do yo feel about your newfound buzz?

arrie:Well surely I feel blessed and ecstatic! Again-it's all very overwhelming, in a good way. This is what I love to do, and if people love what I love to do-then that is amazing. So thank you! For anyone who supports my movement and what I do!!

abys: do you plan on getting a deal though your music or is it just a hobby and is there anyone your afilated with locally or regioaly or are u just doig your own thing?

arrie:I'm solo. I wear many masks over here. And quite honestly, I rather be my own camp, than be in one for the wrong reasons. When it's the right time to be affiliated, then I'll know. But I think I'm doing ok in the mean time. I can't really plan on getting a deal, but I'm working towards success. I think that's being more realistic.

abyss:not only do you have amazing pipes you also write your own lyrics witch most singers dont do nowadays do you feel its important to be a independent artist cus i know personally i wouldnt feel i made it using someone elses material cus its one thing to be blessed with ocls its aother to actually be the brain bhid the hit?

arrie:Not only is it important, but business wise-it's where the money is at! People don't realize, songwriters get most of the royalties. And all in all it's the whole package.

abyss:the vibe of your longs a always upbea ad easy listeng what producers do you work with on your sound?

arrie: I think it's just my style and range. I wouldn't work on something that wouldn't compliment my vocals, or wouldn't compliment the producers work. My beats are all from Sinima, George Burnz or Eiras. These guys are the best!

abyss:what can we expect from arrie in 2011

arrie:More and more tracks and videos! I'm trying to give a visual perspective to most of my songs. Also look for collabs, shows, and hopefully dropping an album! Hopefully 2011 brings us all success, happiness, good health, and anything else that sounds like it came from a fortune cookie :)

INTERVIEW WITH H8TRID

www.h8tridmusic.com

abyss:You have been steady on your grind, not only do you probally have the largest fanbase in the valley, you also have a national fanbase do to the juggalo community, you release alot of material do you take time and put your heart on the mixtapes you release or do you just release it for a steady buzz and to keep your fans happy, since in my opinion your pressed releases outshine your mixtapes?

h8trid:I definitly do take more time for the pressed copies, i wanna make sure everything is one point and not to dissapoint anyone that is gonna spend thier money on me. It's not like my mixtapes are halfass or anything but they usually just fall into place after a bunch of random recording sessions and collabs.

abyss:your official album personal vendette saw you take a more mature style in rap, do you plan on sticking to that style?

h8trid:That does seems to be a part of me these days, I'm older, experianced alot more and it shows. I try to always have a funny track, sad track, violent track and a female inspired track per album in anycase tho.

abyss:ive seen you've taken a hiatus from shows as of late are you time consumed with more projects or is there a nothe reason you've slowed down performance wise?

h8trid:I slowed down locally cuz i played myself out around here lol, I've done over 70 local shows I would say, I still take shows where I dont have to sell tickets or If I think its worth. If its not, than Id rather be recording or with my family. I still take almost all shows out of state to continue to grow my fanbase.

abyss:the juggalo community has shown you tremendous love if its playing the gathering of the juggalo's or the love faygoluvers show you, do you think you'd be where you are now with the steady buzz if it wasnt for there support?

h8trid: Probally not. Juggalos FOR SURE show more love for ALL types of underground music than any other group of people I have ever meant, whether its horrorcore or just good hip-hop, Juggalos support underground. Hell as I say, I'm not a Juggalo Rapper, I'm a rapper who happens to be a Juggalo.

abyss:personal vendetta saw you working with some big names in the underground rap scene such as jise from the arsonist and king magnetic do you have any other big name collabs in the works and was it a honor to work with artist you probally own cd's of?

h8trid:Actually Jise wasnt on the album, he was gonna lay a verse but our schedules didnt meet up, one day he'll be on one of my tracks (at least thats what he told me lol). I did a track with him on Durtes - Rhymes Capsule cd tho. And King Magnetic I met about 2 weeks before he got asked to be in AOTP. But he is a sick fucking MC so it was cool to work with him. And hell yah, anytime I got artists on my CDs that I own is sick including Intrinzik, Delusional and TONEz. Upcoming artists I have that are major on my next few albums are Layzie Bone and Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs, Another King Magnetic Joint, TONEZ, Durte, Hopefully Jise and of Course S2R. We will see what else falls into place as time goes.

abyss:whats your current take on hip-hop as a whole? do you think artist nowadays put there heart into there art?

h8trid: Nah, no heart. It's simplified to make money, most artists that are still big that have been big for years will tell you that too. But unsigned artists have more heart than ever since there are so many of em that you gotta try that much harder.

abyss:how did you get into the rap buisness and what or whom inspires your style?

h8trid:I wanted to be better than someone else at school just for fun than had a rock group with D-RaNGD and Triple G, than met some cats in Ohio called Co-Effusion that did it as rappers and slowly but surly it fell i into place

abyss:any new news from your s2r camp, releases, shows, stuff around that line and whats actually the current roster now since it does seem to change alot?

h8trid:Current Roster, H8TRiD, Phatal, REG, Optimus and N3Bo. And maaan we got so many shows, albums in progress, merch dropping etc that its just something always popping off. You gotta keep checking into s2r group on facebook or sidestreamrecords.com to keep updated or follow H8trid on Twitter or facebook to keep track.

abyss:you where the first label to show whitney peyton love and was her stepping stone she's on her way to success do you guys still keep touch on a musical level at all?

h8trid:I'm glad someone remembers that lol. But no, Not as much as we use to, probally was over a year we didnt talk but the last few months we saw each other at some shows and got to talk, it was cool, and look for a new WP and H8TRiD track at some point.

abyss:what can we expect from h8trid for 2011?

h8trid:Weapon VIII Vol. 2 Mixtape For Free, H8TRiD, Phatal & TONEz EP, and a Phatal and H8TRiD LP. Been busy and alot of this is over half done already. Also S2R is looking to drop a new Optimus and N3Bo album this year!! Make sure yall goto sidestreamrecords.com to download some free cd's if you wanna hear some of our stuff!!

YouTube Dama Nilz Wonder Wheel Music Video

dama nilz is one of those upcoming fecees that are underated and also that could beat most males when it comes to a freesttyle battle. damailz flows hard no matter what she spits on and there no exception on her newest single wonder wheel. Theirs no concept to this track its pretty much a ure lyrical assault with a gritty flow. She starts off with the first bar slow but she picks up quikly. "your music will be unheard of lke te hatter of mimes" as yu she she is one creative chick who both flows hard and smart. Damanilz keep she flows confident you can tell i her delivery she knows shes the shit. Overall nothing different then her normal track but ill as shit for a femcee

Phatall freestyle REVIEW

Phatal has been a steady artist in the leigh rap scene for a while. starting off with the marxmen with phluent now alligned with sidestream records. he just released his newst album week sauce that i wanna get to reviewing. Till then im review this random freestyle he just posted let people know that phatal deffintly hasnt fell off. "im getting tired of this bubblegum rap im way ahead of most of motherfuckers running there laps im to smooth to spit that lame shit im still the same kid that ame up on that grape shit"" phatals use on multis and slick wordplay havent fell off one bit, and this is just some random off the dome shit. He stays constant this whole 2 minute pure lyrical assault. he stops for a minute to switch up flows then comes harder the second time "yo dawg this is my mother fucking masterpieace like maccapeace? i woonder who's in back of me its blasphemy when i guzzle these fist when gettign on all the brothers i missed" phatal deffintly is on some true hip-hoptip "just no no autotune over here just pro-tools.". hes out to bring true lyricism to your ears and this is off the dome shit i cant wait to hee week sauce.

struggle music exercizzim REVIEW

http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_8126768

l
amborghini live is one of the top up and coming producers in the valley, his name has been steadily growing in the year 2011. His exorcist sampled beat he has struggle music spitting on proves why he's on his way on becoming a top 5 lv producer. Now when a producer laces a beat this raw your hoping the emcees spitting over it don't spit weak shit on it lucky thats something we dont have to worry about. "everybody's hard now feeling like they thggish forgettingi can turn there whole career into rubbish" the emcee deffintly is confident with his lyrics and with lines like "its like im bishop with the flow the way im blowing out the juice" he has some orignal lines that are also impressive. His flow is basic at times but when you have ill metephors and punches it makes up for the flow. the whole track he stays on some hard hitting streat shit. dudes deffintly got promise

Moment for Life Remix ft. Access Immortal & J.D. Nero REVIEW

Mainstream remixes are usually filler and stuff i usually don't check out but when theres one thats endorsed by new jersey heavywieght juktapose i deffintly have to give it a listen. new york natives access immortal & j.d nero jump on nicki minaj's moment 4 life. Now i actually semi like the orignal im be honest i like the ebat the hook im iffy about the verses but the track goes deep. Now you have to underground emcees lending there vocals to a mediocore track and the result is a medicore track turning into a excelent track. Acess imortal starts off this track "they said my past is the truth but my future is something diffrent but if its real it shouldnt stop you from listening" Access starts this track off with having the listner think witch si a quilty a good emcee should do have the listener analyze there own lifes. His flow goes hard steady rhyme shcme and deep lyrics, plus some clever metaphors. "two cold ice ages leave haters frozen" i" i call you a crackhead cus i know your a fiend" im deffintly liking his verse. The next verse is nicki minaj's orignal like i said im iffy on it im feeling the message but its not complex for my taste. J.d nero is next to pick up "since i first wrote a rap damn i grown but im from the slums so my names unknown" this is the sad truth about most talented emcee's ther unknown thats why i run this blog get the ill emcees that desrve the credit notice. his verse goes on more about how he is ill an more braggadocio than access's deeper verse but like i said if a emcee is actualyl ill they have writes to brag. Like i said they made a good song better

cold- george burnez feat j.rose

When it comes to doing big things in the eastcoast hip-hop music no click is grinding harder for success than nem's fuck ya lyfe unit witch consist of underground rappers wich such high profile's like battle rap kind iron solomon, vanuard, datin, and alot more. Two more artist that are apart of this movement are sibling jrose and Georg burnez. if you follow this blog you know they have done plenty of collaborations plus solo efforts and usually end up with critical aclaim. The latest pairing from this duo is the track cold that has onelove on the hook and keith blackmore on the beat. The beat m not feeling to much it has some odd horne's and a clubbish style over the hook that don;t fit the lyrics to much. George burnez starts off hard with his flow spitting about a cold hear-ted women that no doubt any guy can relate to. Now he spits with en-tended bars a trait most rappers cant pull off but the way he delvers it it fits perfectly with the beat witch sows he's a true wordsmith. Now he does tame down his lyrical complexness compared to other tracksb ut this is more of a mainstream single and i usualy dont like emcees taming down on there complexity but he pull soff a flawless delivery with a ha rhyme scheme so have to gie props. plus probs are do to his vidness of the heartbreak that you can envision what hes spitting in your had as you listen even if you dont watch the video. Now the hook i like alot its poppish yes but its heavily relatable "you push me away when you get closer one day your guna end up alone why you have to be so cold i feel like i have o be close cus your the one i wanted the most but your to glum to see in my soul". its relate able and spit with pain. J.rose finished off this track sticking to a nicely rhyme style "i wish i can melt the life that you sculpted out of ice" this line is original and creative she keeps the track smoothly. Overall it isn't her best lyrical effort but this is definitely a good song for radio play

Jakk Frost Nico The Beast Reef The Lost Cauze - 3 Headed Monster

Lets keep it in philly for a little bit with underground legend reef the loste cause with jakk frost and nicco the beast on this lyrical assasation the 3 headed monster. jak frost stars this track starts off clever "your fucking with a three headd monster pause for a miute for a word from are sponsors, xnaax percocetes coke nd marijna". frost brings his rhymes to the streats letting everyone know with one bar what spply's the streats of philly's and how he supplys the hip-hop addicts with there fix. "balling over seas like a.i" he spits some nice meephors but the rhyming with two lettes does get a little overplayed to he bend. Nico pics u an brins back lyicism back with the 2nd verse i spit killer bars with a death row flow" braggadocios lines like that are heavyly played out but the death row line shows a sign of orginality cu smost emcees just say the killing emcees he has them lined up. reef is the heart and soul of this track ning this wih the best verse on this track keeping a amazing 3 multi rhyme scheme. id supply a qout ebtu my mind states alittle fucked but this track is dope

B. Kane "Play Your Position" (w/ lyrics)

I hope people havent forgot but philly has always been one of the biggest hotbeds for a amazing local scene, so im open your ears to a talented up and comer from the philly scene b.kane with his new track play your position. the beat is a little off in my mind but as soon as he starts spitting you see a emcee who's bout to do big things. "i make my way though the streets a hour before midnight burning up the earth so good i just ignite no more watng put it ogther told you to sit tight just had a couple of situations i had to get right" his rhyme scheme is nicley woven. he then gets on a deep ip about all his friends turning to crack the violence in philly and even talks aout how local emcees dont get the love they deserve and thats te alot of people dont show love to local talent because ther so stuck with the mainstream bullshit. deffintly awaitin to here more from this philly rhymeslinger

"HIP HOP"--Side Effect & C. Raine (feat. Brainstorm) REVIEW

Im in a realy good mood right now godilla sent me a boat load of tracks from ill lyrcist so i can actually start makin this blog a east coast blog instead of a solo lv blo. don;t get me wrong it will feature alot of lhigh valley artist and ill still stay heavy on the local scene but my main goal for this blog is to bring true hip-hop to dumbass's who don't think real lyricist live anymore. Well dub ass's here are three real lyricist who rap on some real shit with nothing but pure raw lyricism, side feffect, c-raine and brainstorm spitting over a nice oldschool style beat suplied by oddisee. Brainstorm starts off nicley "hip-hop hip-hop your the love of my life we go together stay forever like husband and wife, thinking im gunna stop that probably aint write im get my message out like im in jail passing a kite" no only is his rhyme scheme dope that kite ciggerate metaphor was tight and original, and originality is just as important as raw lyrics in hip-hop. That was just the opening line he stays strong for the rest of the track not slipping staying with more ill metephors "i got that jeffersons flow im moving on up" pure originality pure lyricism pure hip-hop. c raine spits 2nd and his flow compliments brainstorm perfectly with a ice rhyme schem true hip-hop shit with some more orignal lines that impress even the intelligent minds "i live and breathe it i was probally convieved to it. Now if ip-hops dead i dont know what hip-hop is side effect fiishes off a flawlsly classic underground track

Anonamix - "Dead Soon" [Prod. Pietja] [2011] {Music Video}

the underground rap scene has alot of new talent bubling slowly into hip-hops heart and soul. One of those new artist is anonamix who is on goldminded records. His new single is the pietja produced dead soon. This is a very deep track that is part suicidal letter/ part wanting to know what people think of him."i'll be dead soon who's gunna miss me and will i leave a mark in musical history" anonamix flow is insane got a nicly woven multi-filled rhyme scheme also getting on some deep relatable lines. "hip-hop i coldnt live a day without it it helps clear my thoughts when my brain is clouded". This is a depression ong but so is the music industry id rather listen to depression lyical tracks than upbeat tracks that sucks that will make me depsressed. deffintly feeling this track

Tha Soloist - Nevergreen

To anybody who has the nerve to say hip-hops dead deffintly don't know the hidden gems in the underground scene, and they deffintly don't know the newest record label to develope in the underground scene that is home of the most talent up and coming emcees with redphone records. Wanna of those signees is the soloist who deffintly is a visionary you can tell just by the simplicty but genious of this video with the notecards. The beat is a nicley deep styles beat woven in with violen while he spits some heavily deep lyrics. The beat was produced by emancipator the same producer who laced he classic balancing at from sadistik. "life is so hard when god speaks though you" soloist is deffintly deep and orignal. His rhyme scheme stays steay though. This track is deffintly a refrshing listen with intelligent rhyme style on a deep subject matter, deffinlty a emcee you need to watch out for

"im back in my groove youngin',how could i not move something/I have removed the snooze button, incase you think this dude frontin" his flow is smooth and on point and this is a FREESTYLE, so it makes these lyics even more impressive. not only does he have a nice flow he has some slick metaphors "i aint fuckin with you birds im better then fowl. Aids In Africa- the infamous swag REVIEW

The more swag puts out the higher he goes on my list of favorite of local emcees. This kid is what 16 17 yeas old an he spits deeper and one more serious subjects than the veteran rappers do. When it comes to maturity as a artist swag even though being one of the youngest is def one of the most mature. His newest track is entitled aids in africa going on the subject of the overally high aids rate in Africa. He goes into alot of the truth like diminishing funds for aids reearch and goes into vivid details of motherless children and the struggles they have to go though. Is there anything swag won't touch. Hes deffintly a the moment in the lehigh valley in my mind artist of the year SO FAR at least.

RED MCFLY - TIME MACHINE REVIEW

Red has been heavy on his grind over the last fews years. What is it 2-3 years red cleaned up at the lehigh valley music awards best artist best song best hip-hop artist. Now red isnt the most lyrical artist but he definitely makes some of the best songs you will here in the lehigh valley and this track time machine off his album back to the future is one of them. The beat is infectious that sounds like it has a old school Nintendo sample into it. A nice kanye style beat that sets the mood for reds slick rhyming. red spits about how he would wanna go back in time and change alot of his stuff in his past, hustling slacking in school and some of the chicks he has dated. He rhymes smooth and relate-able talking about stuff most people would chance. the 2nd verse ges into stuff he wouldn't change mention his first cd was wu-tang forever showing he knows his hip-hop roots. This track is defiantly enjoyable and hopefully soon red will get the success hes thriving for

thekeenoneof subliminal orphans - "Legal Drug Addict" REVIEW

I dont know i anyone that read this blog is familiar at all with the phill hip-hop scene. This blog was ment to be a eastcoast rap blog and turned into a lehigh valley blog witch i dont mind but once in a while i will show love to the rest of the talent in the eastcoast. Where im getting at anyone remember the subliminal orphans they were a root styles band with a vocalist 2 rappers and a guitarist, the keenone the female rapper of the group released her solo mix-tape last summer. the lead single was "legal drug addict." This track shows how fucked up society the government is. "im a legal drug addict society made me all types of crazy now they sedate me they dont wanna deal with anything at all so they give me all sorts of xanax and give me adarall. weed is illegal but all these antiphycotics that send kids to depression and suicide are illegal. she spits about this subject matter how easy it is to get prescription drugs while keeping a steady rhyme scheme while spitting vivily on a dark reality. I wish one day the subliminal orphans get together but till now ill respect a talented emcee from south Philly

Da Mirrors Lookin At Me- $Wift Me$$enger REVIEW

Today ive been bringing alot of artist i havent reviewed before. Let people see every side of the local scene and not just the main 30 so artist usually featured on the blog. Lets introduce you to swift messenger a new artist from allentown. Now after one listen though i cant tell if theres a hook and if so it dont stand out to much. The beat is heavy hitting and looking though the video you see lv heavyweights face the beast and ema j in the background so you know you should definitely be ready for some straight ill lyricism. His flow does start off a little slow his first few bars dont rhyme at all but towards the middle he get shis rhyme scheme set and keep sit steady though the verse. He spits about his daily hustle and shit then after the first verse the chorus is now noticable, an dits decent at best. the 2nd verse is constant all though there isnt to much more complexity but this track goes hard

Im in my fith listen of this song and im still trying to figure out if i like it. I dont know if this is suppose to be r and b or rap but one thing i do know this is deffintly a track ment for the club and he himself defines this as a pop track. "hip-hop track with a little bit of pop? now the lyrical style of the song has a rp flow but vocally its r and b with vocals that sound thye could be autotuned. Overall his lyrics are mediocore but thre something very infectous about this song from the ebat to his vocals. so im iffy bout this all i know is this is a banger rating

AMAZINGLY FRESH by: Venomous2000 review

For some reason the last vomous200 review i did for his track over stand i did in September averages 25 views a day and has overall 8000 views so far. i haven't scene any promotion from the blog on him but if you listen to his music you'd also wonder why this emcee doest have a record deal. His new track amazingly fresh has him showing a more perfected rhyme style that flows flawless over a nice uptempto 80's style beat that you just wanna sit back and reminisce to. "come witha scale that holds more weight then a sumo" he keeps original and steady. A refreshing song even though most emcee's have skills originality is something you dont see to much. He even brings listeners to more orignal metaphors "stings so deep in the soul you need a exadus splits emcees like red seas in exodus" hes clever smart original and intelligent. even making references to the golden days of hip-hop "digging in the crates like showbiz and ag" overall this track is one of the best ive heard out of jersey rating A

stuy ty opsessive composer disorder ALBUM REVIEW

http://www.datpiff.com/pop-mixtape-player.php?id=m9df8f39

Even though i run a local hip-hop blog there is still alot of plenty of unoticed talent that my ears havent heard yet. So its nice to here a fresh new artist i havent heard to see how diverse the local scene is. S.P.C productions newes artist stuyTy a bethlehem native has released his newest mixtape opsessive composer disorder. The first skip though of the album i like the vibe of it. Besides the freestyles mixtape remizes on this tape the album has a kanye, kid cudi, wiz khalifa style flow to it that is comparable to local emcees like red and da boy jp. This album starts off pretty clubish wth a electronic style beat on the track "sounds from the front row" When he starts spitting though his flow deffintly hits smoothly to the beat. With a 3 multi per bar rhyme scheme. not o heavy on the metephors o this track but this is deffintly a good song in the terms of feeling good and mainstream exposure. Next is one of my favriote tracks on the album "jet lag" a miut and a half track with just nothing but flow. His rhyme scheme on this track is at his peak "your screws loose, haters who knew you find some other cop cus how i serveu u aint used 2" an he even ges some orignal metephors of "i found me no blues clue's" deffintly alot of potential. This album says consistant thoughout with stuy showing that he needs a bigger fanbase cus his artist got potential. I mean the freestlye son this album are out of place wih the vibe of this albm flowing moothly. he should o stuck them all towas the en but on those random 16's is where he lets his lyrics shine the hardest deffintly on the freestyle over birdmans fie flame. "fire flame spitta 100 N**** wit us guns like a trianer who wants to do a sit up" he shows a vrsatilty ina track thats more hard hitting then his smooth style. Deffintly wanna hee more from him

A few years ago arisen records was a big deal in the lehigh valley and his year there returning doing big thins. After reds me video l.moey has become one of the top music directors in the valley and tjere artist caine easy has been hitting a steady grind with new tracks. His newest single is by your side feating e-brown. He starts off on a deep personal tip "i grew up in the gutta" and the whole first erse he lets you see his life though eyes while getting on some metephors. His flow is deffintly strong rhyme scheme is smooth when you thikhes gunna fuck up his flow he saves his self nicley. Most of this track goes into his life as a ustler and the drug came using the same usual drug meephors. So on the orignality tip he loses some point sbut overall his verse hits deep and to the heard. e-brown flow starts off a little slow to pickup tough. Again this track is on the more drug tip but hits hard like a d-block track.

joey mondecca feat phillub banks on top review

www.soundcloud.com/joeymondeca/on-top-ft-phillip-banks joey mondecca got his hands tied heavy in the underground community as you saw with his last single i reviewed. Now he steps up on a collab with another valley heavywieght phillub banks on his new joint on top. The track starts off right off the back with lyrics right hwen the beat hits mondecca starts off hard on the lyrical tip. even though mondecca is from a-town you can tell by his distictive draw hes from the south witch is impressive cus unlike most osutehrn emcees mondecca can actually flow. His verse goes into more streat style rap about the trap drug game talkig nbotu how he "lost his soul" to the game. He also knos how to work his delivery cus when he gets into more mutli filled rhymed schemes his flowspeeds up to perfect the delivery. Now the hook im not feeling to much at all its not catchy not lyrical adn probally the only part that screws up a otherwise ill track by 2 of the top local lyrcist. Phillub banks spits hard like usual keeping a nice mutli style rhyme scheme his vocal delivery sounds a little difrent then usual put overall a pure lyrical onsloughT

lv hip-hop scene keeps it old school

Ive done alot of reviews, posted my opinion of favriote emcees, new artist so forth but people are always asking me whats my general take on the local hip-hop scene. So im finally answer everyone's questions. First off im not againsts mainstream music and artist wanting to make it in a mainstream setting. What i am againsts is doing it for the wrong reasons. Ive got hate on this blog plenty of times for trashing artist because they talk about, money cars girls and stuff. Its not the subject matter its the way you deliver the song. Now there are a few emcees locally who i see on top 40 stations and 90 percent of them stay true lyrically witch shows the depth of talent and heart in the local hip-hop community. Emcee's like adlib, red, automatic, phillub banks, da boy jp, jake haze, f.a.c.e to name a few have tracks that go to a mainstream appeal and dont stray away from there lyrical toughness. Now overall when it comes to blowing up reds deffintly ahead of the pack and is the artist i most see getting a deal soon. I mean shit the lehigh valley has garned national rock acts like live, and fuel to name a few, actresses (amanda seyfriend) actors (the guy withthe glasses from heroes and the haiwain from lsot forget there names' we even have oscar winning directors from the arae so its about time someone from the hip-hop community was repping lv on a national scale. now there are artist who have been on national records and those artist are the emcees i have the most respect for. Emcees who main goal is true lyricism and nothing else. King maginetic a allentown native is part of the army of pahroahs witch is the underground hip-hops scene equilant to qu-tang. Adlib and godilla wer both on th ecritically aclaimed snowgoons black snow. So the hip-hop scene is making noise. What i do see as a flaw locally is there are alot of rappers rushing matierial just to keep there buzz going. Start knowing th eindustry release a mixtape/album dro a video every 2 3 month u wont loose yoru buzz and wouldnt haev to resortign to rushing new material to keep it. Because when it comes to the actual industry do you see rappers rushing 4-5 albums a year new singles on a dialy no they put ther eheart into putting the perfect album out for your taste. Emcees around here need to start relising the basics of hip-hop before they make it. Also what i see good about the local scene is the rash of mixtape djs that hjave started coming around releasing compilations of local hip-hop. You dont see that to much anymore and that was the main source to get to know unkown talent in the golden era of hip-hop. Dj's like dj 240, dj boog nasty dj menace have kept the essense of the golden ages. Now there are soem dj';s i have lost huge respect for that if used right could do big things for lv hip-hop. The main offender cap cee, everyone know knows him as the dj for the pop ass trash station b104. What most probally dont know is he was on mtvs trl winning a rap battle contest sponsered by shady records, or know that he used to have a radio shaw hip-hop 101 that gave listeners true hip-hop. Now being on a high profile station like b104 you should use that position to get the scene known or at least play some real hip-hop or promote it on your blgo since thats wher you came from and what got you known in the first place. Remember cap cee at once point was the head of the local music scene. running the local hip-hop shows at bannana joes now he sold out as a club dj.We have battles on sterat corners i recently saw a post by sticky money calling emcees out for steret battles. Now this is what hip-hop is about and thelehigh valley is one of those araes who havent lost the heart in hip-hop. You got artist like phillup banks whos till hit the barshops and streats flooding it with demos creating a buzz in ways you though were forgotten in the era of ringtones, autotune and social netowrking. so overall i love the grind of the local scene and i hope to see big things from the hip-hop scene.

top TEN new emcees to watch out for in the lehigh valley in 2011 #5 da boy jp

Its refreshing when you see young talented emcees making big moves in your local scene deffintly since the lehigh valley is full of veteran rappers adn all the newer emcees are mid twenties early thirties. Its also refreshing to see a emccee who is actually trying to do more with his life than just rap. That brings us to allentown naitive daboyjp. Only 21 years old and a student at kuntstown university jp was steadily started his buzz in the lv late last year with his semptember released debute mixtape image of me that garnered him with local buzz and even awarded the artist to watch for by da stashbox.com stashie awards. His flow and style is set for a mainstream vibe but he shines lyrically as well witch is refreshing. Hes one of a few locla emcees with the stage presence and style to break out mainstream. He just released a mixtape the bundle 1.5 during the winter, and is in the studio putting his finishing touches on the summer mixtape bad guys finish first. His first single off the mixtape is now available on itunes "do my thang, with his 2nd single i wish coming soon. The video should be released by the end of the month for do my thang. He just recently opened up for chad b and is planning to get his dreamcatchers ent artist on the maps as well. So minds allready set ona big year for 2011 lets see if he can captilize

f.a.c.a the beast show me a sign REVIEW

soundcloud.com/facedabeast/show-me-a-sign-face Starting off the beat is a nice piano laced feel good style beat witch deffintly fits f.a.c.e's lyrics when he starts spitting. He talks about his goals of getting othe struggle.struggle. Even more possitive is he's praying to god for guidance witch shows a emcees growth "lord give me a sign is this the right direction" Hes not gloryifing the streat life witch most emcees do but hes doing what he gotta do to get his fam and his boys out of the streat tip. You can feel his pain in his delivery when he raps about his youth "i remeber school lunch my only food" to his feeling of making it out of his hustle just to be drug backin once again. This track should be listened to by anyone going though a hard time cus its very relatable and bery uplifting. He keeps a steady flow to this track and ends it flawlessly. deffintly a good lsiten

DouBle of The H.U.R.T new song "Love ya baby"

I just came across h.u.rt for the first time on bars disc one with there impressive track grind so when a new track my member douBLe came across me i was deffintly having high expectations. The beat was a nicley sampled smooth styling beat. When the lyrics started it sounds like a normal style love song nothing to original, not a new concept or a new take on the subject. make up to breakups good tute the hard route. Double shows his pain in his lyrics though witch is always a plus for a song of this style. Lyrically douBle is average on this tracka nice smooth consitant rhyme scheme that last though th track. The track gets alittl eoff in the second verse when he goes into some murder fantasy that reminds you of a eminem kim style love track. Overall this is a pretty good track though, feeling it

BLOW DA SHIT OUT- YOUNG TROUBLE GMC Feat. DOTTA review

Beef is something i dont cadone on this blog but im not gunna stop being a true critic just because some bitch ass kid from allentown thinks he can put fear in people. And even though theres a beef with young trouble im not gunna give a bias review in anyway. Ill start off with something good the beat is banging nice streat vibe and trouble talks alot of violent talk witch fits with the gritty streat beat. Still he hasnt learned to be a lyricist he claims hes a mainstram artist nto alyrical but if your gunna make a diss track you'd think a rapper would stack on punclines and hard hittin lyrics still keeps a one two flow with nothing but gun talk. Dotta's verse hits a lot harder even thoughhe start weaks at least he knows what a punchline is

bars mixtape vol 1 DISC 1 hosted by dj boognasty REVIEW

www.datpiff.com/pop-mixtape-player.php?id=mbbc757f Over the past year there has been plenty of mixtapes claiming to have the best of the lehigh valley hip-hop scene on it any where from da stashbox's reccesion city series to john qwest mixtape last year (forget the name of it) now the latest compilation out of the valley is the dj boognasty hosted bars series. vol 1 is a 2 disc effort ill get to disc 2 later this weekend. First look at the track listings i gotta question if they put effort into the song selection or they just put evryone who wanted on on since over 50 percent of these artist i have not heard of but ill keep my moouth shut till the albums done for my final judgement. The album starts off strong with Lehigh valleys strongest vocalist with arrie showing why shes hands down the force in the r and b scene. Next is hip-hop group h.u.rt who i just recently came across and deffintly dont let down. Now theh valley has a strong hip-hop scene but there hasnt been many groups to blow out of the scene. There contribument to this mixtape is the grind whos beat has a jazzy feel that reminds me of the old gangstar days old school vibe to it with strong lyrics. Next was the autotuned reggaetoned style track money mo lyrically song goes strong even though his flo does stray alittle. Finballn a name ive actually heard of mb with roll with me witch shows his signature streat style tales hard punchlines and flawless flow witch makes him a stable in the lehigh valley scene. next is billy blanx the guy who help put this whole copilation together with hate if you want to a nicley flown track over a rockishs tyle upbeat beat. Has some clever punchlines by flow is a little basic. Next is newcover sam smith who is alligned with silva dolla and double edge ent with a flawless freestlye that flows smooth proven artist cans til go off the top of the dome. Next is a collab with joey boca and tug mgraw witch is deffintly this mixtapes standout witch has boca and mgraw going back to back with insane rhyme schemes deffintly with boca's first verrse that if he would of sped with delivery up would of had a perfected verse. The track also has a good message lets bring hip-hoback to the days when lyrics and turntables were still around. STRONG showing next track is improv by easymoneybags. This beat is amazing and easy keeps real hip-hop with this lyrics. The next few tracks got me thinking htis album doesnt have one bad song on it with the c-spade, l-money, autmatic collab (money talks remix" showing 3 l=ehigh valley heavwieghts rip the mic followed by newcomer silva dolla and returnign lv emcee kaspa with a track thank gets u deeply thinking eith whats going on. about whats goone wrong witht his rap industry. This album does have its flaws like the g-child throwback track fed up witch is about 3-4 years old and far from her best track with mother goose 1-2 rhyme scheme followed by another filler with tripple six that just doesnt fit won this mixtape that had such a strong begining. Im startingto think with my first notion they just put anyone who wanted to be on this mixtape on it without showing th etop talent in the lehigh valley. follwed by more filler with the supbar love track i dotn care by dylan murphy.Lucky this mixtape starts to pick up with allentowns white hype whiteboi d letting you in his mind on how he wants to make it in this rap game cus hes tired of stuggling with wit a star. album keeps on a good path with murdocs i dont think so followed by more r and b with m.o.s thats a nice little feel good track you can just vibeout to on a bad day. Next is another one of this mixtapes standouts capitiol c's those are who's dead. Infamous swag the 16 year old beast from allentiown keeps this mixtapes ral lyricism feel withthe streat anthem alrge on the streats. fully blessed, and armz bring back to back hard hitting tracks followed by a joinjt by young trouble that actually is a breather music is all i got that shows a more confident trouble then u usually see,got him on a more lyrical tip than usual even though he still strays in the complexity department. this mixatpe ends on a huge high note with red, j-sweets, phillub banks and prime targets. Overall this mixtape is a nice compliation i wouldnt tote it as a best of th elehigh valley buts its a nice introuductory album for people that dont know leigh valley hip-hop. top 5 tracks. joey boca tug mgraw take it back c-spade lmoney autmatic money talks remix kaspa silva dolla whats going on capitol c just 1 for those who are dead white boi d wit a star the 5 on the lowend tripplesix crime scene dylan murhphy i dont care money mo money mo g-chld fed up young trouble msuic is all i got

hitman intro REVIEW

Tribeland records as a whole has been doing HUGE things for local hip-hop now this year weve seen each artist venturing out in there own solo projects and probally the most anticipated of them all is HITMANS solo label in my mind hitman is the force behind tribeland, with his gritty delivery, hard hittting punches and vivd tales for the streat. Heres the intro to his solo effort where you here everything you'd eppect from hitman "i'll put my tech in my face you know im reppin" he stays gansgta with a hook that is a little off but the track itsself flows hard. I think he tamed down his lyrics a little when it comes to complexity rhymign alot int he first verse with N**** but he picks up heavy in the second verse witch def saves this track. hitman doing big things and def gunna be awaiting more

UNCLE O FEATURING Young Steff classic review

Anyone who is from the jersey philly arae and listens to hip-hop should know who uncle o is allready. He is a dj on philledelphia's popular power 99 witch is how i came across this gem. uncle o along with young steph bring a song about love looking for that classic old school love you only see in movies. Yes this is a poppy style song but lyrically this is probally the best thing ive heard on the radio cept the new jada and fab songs and its only getting regional play on power 99. His flow does get off at times and its a little basic at points but this is such a smooth good vibed song that you just wanna kick back with your girl and relax to.

So for a new artist coming out of the valley that co-sign is kind of like kanye west giving you your big break. Rob dollaz debut single was new dynasty with armygunz with track produced by red and he's also alligned with redlight entertainment. At the moment that is the only release by this talented allentown based emcee but he plans to drop a mixtape by the end of the summer that will feature collabs with red, phillub banks and his cousin mouse dollaz. Lego "The Future" - See You Crying REVIEW

blockmcloud is known in the underground community as the go to hook artist in the underground rap scene and known as one of the top punchline artist. He has now ventured out as well into song writing helping pen r and b artist lego the futures new track see you crying. Im actually realy feeling this track even though lego seems to be autotunes the lyrics are poetic and nicley written "your tears are like a dart when they escape your eyes they pierce my heart till the feelings die" deffintly some deepl;y woven metephors. His vocals are haunting even though the beat is a little upbeat. This is deffintly a nice track though and its nice to see when rappers venture out succesfully in dif branches of hip-hop deffintly gunna be on the look out for more

**NEW** MISTA HAIly whats ya name (review)

I know ive been a little harsh on some of the younger talent in the lehigh valley, but you also know im a hard critic to please, that doesnt mean i have a vendetta out for all the youngings out with mainstream styles looking for fame. If you got talent even with a mainstream vibe i will still show you love. One of the young cats out for radio play is mr. haily and his newest track shows hes on his way. this beat reminds me of packs styles skateboard rap style something that would come from the neptunes. His flow starts off pretty impresses keeps with the same rhyme for 4 bars witch impressed me also has a steady rhyme scheme. I mean his flow ets choppy a little bit but for the most part is consitant. The only thing im not feeling to much is the chorous its a little off and even for a maisntream style it isnt to cathcy but overall im feeling this song and will be on the look out for more things from mr haily

the top ten new emcees to watch out for in the lehigh valley in 2011 #2 STICKY MONEY

youtube.com/user/vfoster86

When it comes to breaking though in anyscene one thing a artist needs besides talent is a steady grind witch is something allentown based rapper sticky money has started heavy with in 2011. He drops a new video a week, now the vocal quility isnt the best but with talent like his you release what you can in any quiity to generate a bu and so far the buzz for sticky money is possitive. I had 15 people recremend him for this article so you know hes deffintly doing something right. His track dear hip-hop has sent chills down listeners spines and his other tracks has shown a artist who is deffintly versitile and can spit on any subject rapper vividily. Not only is his tracks ill he still brings it back to the 90's with actual rap battles. lets have sticky give u detaisl on his year to come

sticky money" im looking foward to dropping my self titled mixtape note to self by july. i also am looking foward to dropping the sequal to my mixtape the recyling bin witch uses recyled beats and my other mixtape real nigga music. im also trying to get my team ldb to shine so im expecting a good year"

MB aka MBeezy Retarded //REVIEW

mb had a huge year locilally in 2010 with his critically aclaimed mixtape power moves and is allready on the path to having another strong year in 2011 starting off with the single retarted directed by sneek tip media. Mb seems to stray from his normal hood tales with this single but that doesnt mean his lyrics are of any other quility but ill. The begining of the track starts a little slow but once his lyrics starts he starts off hard "lets go mix me down proper want a hit i got ya bitch im a monsta i eat shrip in lobsta drink fine vodka" his rhyme scheme is still on point and his delivery matches the vibe of the beat witch shows he perfected his delivery. This track is nothing but straight flow no hook and for the most part he stays on point from begining to end.this deffintly looks to be another big year for mb

burn the ballot: death caresses" REVIEW

http://www.reverbnation.com/burntheballot

R.e.g is known widley in the lehigh valley as a rapper but has before stepped into the rock genre with his previous band anti-heroes. R.e.gs newest venture into rock iwith burn the ballot, witch is a more rap/rock act similiar to rage againsts the machine. now at the moment quility isnt top notch lukly there are lyrics provided for the track. On the track death caresses they kind of remind me of (infest" era papa roach "this is my anger this is my pain these are the drugs destroying my brain, lonley and bitter ive lost all my shame, nothingness seeps in a forcefull degrade" these lyrics are more self degrating personal struggles that papa roach dealt with early in there career. R.e.g is the vocalist stays lyrically sharp like he did as a emcee not toning down in the talent department. The chorous is a screamo style chant "death it carreses" that you can barley make out even with better quility. The guitar sounds on point likei said ill be waiting for better quility tracks to judge better. The last verse is my personal favriote where regs lyrics seem almost poetic "this is my lover burn her with flames, smoke her or put her deep in my viens, she is my killer my soul to claim, my blood it trickles from needles liek rain" a nicley woen metephorical aproach on drug use. Overall i see alot of potential inthis badn lieki said awaiting better quility

the TEN new emcees to watch out for in the lehigh valley 2011 #1 silva dolla

http://www.rapforever.com/video/silva-dolla-dont-look-at-me

The lehigh valley has become one of the top hip-hop scenes in the east coast over the years with new emcees buzzing all the time. With a scene so vast alot of the new cats may be over looked so im here to bring you the top 10 new emcees you need to look out for in 2011. The next ten days i will bring to you a new artist that is looking to become the next big thing in the lehigh valley rap scene and im start off by a rapper who's allready got his hand in the right connections when it comes to doign exactly just that. Silva dolla has just recently dropped his first single entitled dont look at me witch divine d and the return of local heavywieght kasper. The vidoes shot by mr. rap forever joshramirez so when it comes to local co-signs hes probably got one of the biggest to jump start his career with. He's about to release his debut album called disappearing act sometime this week. Disappearing act will be a double disc effort disc one is the album 20 tracks including dont look at me with collaborations with mr. rap forever divine d, prez, and sam smith. The album will be produced solely by double edge productions. the second disc is a dvd. To give you a bigger picture on his release and what his plans for 2011 here is word for word from silva dolla

silva dolla:
"double edge isn't just beatmakers, its the camp I represent, 6 emcees 2 producers, and if u mention double edge then u mention rap forever its pretty much integrated. I named my album disappearing act cause the hip hop music that I'm making has been absent from the game for a very long time so I just happen to be the Fucking magician that is bringing it back!, im a writer, backpack wearing hip hop fanatic! I'm a fan of the music as much as i am a contributer, I'm originally from nyc born in Harlem but I was raised in pa south Bethlehem and that's what I represent! Along with my album I will also be on the bars mixtape, will be doing shows and I'm getting right to work on my follow up album which will be out early next year. "

HATER OF THE WEEK: YOUNG TROUBLE

http://www.myspace.com/troublegmc

ight im not the type of person who gets into beef, i say lets settle everything lyrically with the pen and the pad. When a budding emcee steps out of line though you do got to call them out. You know ive been very hostile with young trouble because he isnt a lyrical artist witch is something himself has admitted. He's out for the money and success so if your a rapper whos out for the money and success why would you care what someone thinks of you on a lyrical sense, also if your out to make it for the money and fame and you know your not lyrical you need to brush off criticism and not threaten to "sue everyone who bashes your music cus if this guy ever blows magazines like spin blender xxl source will have a field day bashing him apart, well known worldstar hip-hop has allready bashed him as a artist. You need to be mature to make it in the industry and obviously young trouble isnt there. I had gotten a email today from young trouble threaten to have my blog hacked since my blogs the first thing that pops up when someone searches his name. Then he made physical threats something that will get you blacklisted in a second in the industry " EVERYONES ENTITLES TO THERE OPionions my dude freedom of speach ur wack adn when u blow ur gunan have xxl and source trashing u to my dude" i said to trouble his response " remember everything you saying pussy ill see you on the streats" now im not looking for beef cus beef is everything wrong about hip-hop and a attitude like that your never make it inhip-hop so dont take this as a hate colmn take this is a advice column cus if you dont listen you will never make it in the hip-hop game.

LOVE BY J.ROSE.. AKA "THE ROSE"

j.rose has always been one of my favriote femcees in the eastcoast, but not only is she a deadly emceeshe is also a deep amazingly vivid poet witch you can tell from the beging of the this where she starts with a minute long a Capella spoken word on love witch sends chills down the spine. Now the track itself starts slow im not feeling the beat to much and her delivery is a little choppy but lyrically j.rose brings it hard. She definitely shows herself as someone who dont belive in the word love as aa sense of person to person but deeper than that "love is my best friend its what i feel when the pen hits the pad" rose is a deep artist witch alot of potential so def keep on th elook

"Hand Signs" Featuring Godilla, Nine and Adlib (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

When it comes to hip-hop in the 610 there are no bigger forces than godilla and adlib, besides maybe tug. Just when you don't think they can impress even more then they already have they prove wrong by bringing hip-hop legend nine with them over a epic style string infused beat by the grim reaperz. Not only is the beat epic and the lyrics top notch the chorous is catchy without resorting to poppyness in a video thats gritty and shot locally showing even thouh how big of a buzz there getting they dont forget where they come from. Adlib starts off strong lyrically and with a ruff as delivery., flawless whe it comes to flow an stays complex with eternal rhyming. "tsend the thunder in gut thats the hunger inide, hounded hunters inmy eyes your supper is mine. Adlib stays clever witty and on top proving wh he is oe of the most resopected emcees not only in the 610 but in the underground hip-hop scene perio. "hands hands let me see your fucking hands" goes the chorous that makes you just wanna jump up and wile out witch exactly this track is ment for. Nine follows adlib and ay true hp-hop fan allready knows who nine is. "i eat rappers like you for breakfast pull out the toast but a whole in your yolk and leave you bacon in the sun" if that isnt lyrically impressive you don't know your hip-hop. godilla fisihes this off flawlessly brining the arae prob one of the best track out of the 610 all year

Infamous swag is bout to make a impresion on the local scene in 2011 and he plans on bringing his crew glock city along for the ride> so lets start of with dazedysh with the track closer. Allready ive mentioned on the blog thats he has potential for a emcee and to here him on a track where he can actually show you his lyrical ability we can finally see him shine. On tis track he spits about the road for sucess. Now his flow is a little basic but for a young cat on the rise it isnt to bad at all. "everyone gunna say daze changed but im stay by the dollar so whats change four quarts that i spent on some water im a chef in the studio so whats your order" see daze has some slick witty orignal lines nd keeps consitant though this track. I mean he has a long way to go as a lyrcist ut this isnt a bad start for a up and coming rapper in the valley
