Beatboxing: a form of vocal percussion primarily involving the art of producing drum beats, rhythm, and musical sounds using one's mouth, lips, tongue, and voice. It may also involve singing, vocal imitation of turntablism, and the simulation of horns, strings, and other musical instruments. Beatboxing today is connected with hip-hop culture, being one of "the elements", although it is not limited to hip-hop music.

The term "beatboxing" is derived from the mimicry of the first generation of drum machines, then known as beatboxes. "Human beatboxing" in hip-hop originated in 1980s. Its early pioneers include Doug E. Over the course of the two years east coast underground central's been up ive shown a strong hatred for mainstream hip-hop along with complaining in reviews when people sound poppish, so people start to think im againsts making it in the rap game. Not true at all. What im againsts is the fact rappers think they have to be like everyone else and not stay true to themselves or the art. Theres so money hungry they seem to forget theres millions of rappers outhere doing the same thing your doing so how do you expect to be noticed. They actually think one big hit or contributing to the current fad of rap will get you millions. Maybe true but when the fad wheres out your gunna end up on the back of a milk carton with no one ever remembering who you are. What people seem to forget in the beginning of hip-hop critically acclaimed artist like de la soul, eric b and rakim, wu tang, public enememy, common have all charted on billboard and gone platinum. Looking at todays wanna be emcees soulja boy no platinum black d4l no platinum plaque mims no platinum black million singles sold yes but one single wont pay for the gold around your neck forever. And with the age of i-tunes one hit is 99 cents a peace no ones gunna by your album if you got only one or two good songs when there saving 8 bucks NOT BUYING YOUR ALBUM. Anyway selling out means forgetting who you were. Looking back at mixtapes from example drake at one point this dude could actually flow. he had collaborations with underground legends like little brother adn was a versatile emcee. Once cash money came around every track is autotuned about hoes and i doubt phontes sitting in a studio somewhere thinking why did i ever work with him in the first place. The only thing good from that collaboration people are youtubing little brother to see who they are to bad modern day hip-hop fans take one listen to the beat relise its not trach and click out of the video. The art of selling out has been around for ages and whats even worse sellouts are taking crazes that were once praised as uniue and inventive adn turning them into the worst thing hip-hops ever heard. take AUTOTUNING FOR EXAMPLE. When that came out critics were praising the uniques and sound now critics vomit at the sound of autu-tune pre little wayne days. Unless your defdumb and blind everyone knows about the vast "occupy" movements that have been flooding a town near you. Starting in wallstreat and taken over almost ever town in America the "occupy" movement is a peaceful protest movement started to demand better use of government spending, the economic inequality, and the money hungry cor prate America who can give a fuck less about the poor broke homeless or struggling American dreamer. Today i went down there with local producer/dj lehigh villians artist dj zen one to occupy easton to talk and get a better understanding at what exactly is being demanded by these protest and help with the cause. One of the many people protesting is producer kooredub an easton native known for his production work with illoheem and other local heavyweights. When it was first announced i was a blogger another protest first grew weary. As kooredub explained to us theres been many attempts to make the "occupy" movement something that it isnt. An example brought to are attention was at the occupy wallstreat movement a Conservative blogger came down trying to sell drug and drug paraphernalia to the protesters trying to make them look like some dopes out hippies just trying to start a scene, but in reality the "occupy" movements are a peaceful demonstration trying to help better america. with a vast majority of America being middle or lower class anyway to help with the creation of jobs is needed. Its hard though when the upper society is trying to use are tax money to help fund political campaigns or protested being taxed more on money there probably never gunna. Another concern brought to are attention by a older protester was the lack of health care in america, its unaffordable to most and medicade only covers so much. Its got to the point where americans feel that they have to pay to live witch they have to do. One magor demand though is the seperation of money and politics. Election time is among us now and most of government spending is going towards thousands of government campaigns in witch 97 % are going to be failed attempts. In the state america is in now we cannot afford to waste money supporting higher class stingy citizens with are tax money. At the moment the occupy easton movement is only on the weekends but as kooredub stated are looking for a perminate place to occupy 24/7. koore stated that there first spot was the downtown circle witch isnt aloud since its county property not town. There at the moment hoping to occupy the now-defunct riverside bar and grille. This is a cause that hits me on a personal note that ive supported multiple times and is the 2nd such protest ive went to, after recently going to occupy bethlehem. dj zenone is a rarity in so many aspects. One he's a producer who's spit game is exceptional as part of the lehigh villians. Hes one of the few dj's in the lehigh valley area who opens up oppurtunities for local emcees to perform. he still in the 80's with his instrement of choice the turntable and on tracks he laces you get a sense of 80's nastolgia when you here the turntables scratching. While he's lacing beats and mics hes on a constant grind only djign for nine months hes probally done twice as more shows as your favriote djing having blessed places such as riverside bar and grill, mars bar in pburg, boneyard in atlantic city. pitches and mgrady's in allentown. Its only been a year since the release of his local classic language arts 2 that garnered praise from every critic and fan who listened to his lyrical journey that mapped out his personal struggles. Most wondered how he would follow up and if he could maintain another success amidst high expectations. The verdict is he exceeded expectations by far, and not only on a lyrical standpoint. Once the release of "serpent spine" featuring mani the nigitar who blessed the hooks we realised tug took a completely and shocking new approach to his music. THE MAINSTREAM. Instead of falling into the cliche of toning down his lyrics tug wanted to make a statement to all these young up and coming cats that a pure lyricism can still be found in a top twenty styled radio hit. Once this track came out the title of the album came to light as a clever metaphor "the Shepard in wolves clothing" meaning the lyricist in the world of mainstream debauchery. Once tha album actually came out tug has taken this concept to even higher levels. Yes most of this album consist of his usual styled tracks but its on tracks like the son v assisted track put it on me where tug shocks the most. Put it on me is the cliche hip-hop club track about trying to score with women that would get anyones body moving. Now if this was on mainstream radio this would be easly a top 20 hit and his lyrics easily overlooked instead its on the album of a east coast legend whos fans apricate true lyrical assaults, and listen to the track his use of multis and slcik wordplay hasnt toned down a notch. Like language arts 2 there isnt a track that id not give a second listen to on this effort. on the track what you want with numbia bear tugs gives one of his strongest lyrical assaults to date, but its his solo track surrender where tug shines the most asking wack rappers to surrender the crown. If anyone had any doubts about tug mcraw as a lyricist can stop now after following up a classic with another classic. Not as strong as language arts 2 but coming aufully close tug delivers unanomsly the lehigh valleys strongest lyrical album yet again.

joey mondecca: ya my team be working real hard to push me and all our other artist out into the world to be seen. I bin blessed and cursed that my music has had some commercial appeal round the world. I work hard to stay on that fine line between who I really am and entertainment. But we just dumped alot into promotion and kept leaking hot tracks to keep the buzz going.I dont think I have a positive impact but I definitly set a example on how to conduct business. We gotta start looking at the over all picture not just the bad bitch in it which is the fame.lol 1st you make music for your hood,then your city and next the world. Its all business expantion. We use to write to breakbeats on vinyl. Those was the days you could buy a single song for $2 and the instrumental was on the other side.lmao They inspired me to be involved in music. Now Im inspired by the ups and downs of life. So I write bout my accomplishments and my downfalls. I'll rap bout anything I got thru. I aint got no complexes!!! Thats why 99% of these rappers lie bout there lifestyle. They not comfortable with who they really are. That inspires me cause Im rapping bout what I do. unless you been under a rock you know theres been a tragedy in the local 610 hip-hop in the death of glock city member daze dysh. gunned down at 230 in the morning outside of a-one markets in allentown ending the life of one of the artist i respected the most in the lehigh valley hip-hop scene. yes i know ive always been a harsh critic of his music and im not saying he was the best emcee but he had more heart and drive then most i know. He was one of the only rappers to take my harsh critism and help evolve his flow. constintly i the studio trying to become a better emmcee, shit he got shot at 2;.30 in the moring recording now that shows dedication to his craft. sadley like most murders of rappers his death IS UNSOLVED. His story has touched many though googling his case papers in dallas texas even reported on this and in days a dedication page had over 2000 likes a show for his benifit was allready intact. Countless people made shirts in his memory and evry 20 minutes someones showing condolenses to him or his brother another lehigh valley heavywieght "infamous swag" who still has one of this years best releases in the 610. one thing i gotta say is daze was one of the few "real" rappers that deffintly didnt lie in his raps. The local scene is full of young up and coming emcees. Alot of them have the insight that lyricism dont sell that may be true in some aspects witch is sad but regardless you have to put heart and time into the project your releasing. Mr. haily does exactly that he has his grind down to a t and he lives and breath hip-hop while staying relevant to the times. On the opening intro mr. haily starts off with a basic flow but has some impressive metaphors floating around "me and your bitch stuck together like Siamese" prey original the following line about smokign till eyes are Chinese is a plaid out concept but his delivery and flow is on point throughout h rack. When the actual tracks come haily seems to be putting his all into it with a much more polished flow then the intro. On the track "chillin" he starts off with a decent multi delivery "max fited on no snap-back round of aplause let me see your ass clap scratch that some n*gaz straight ass crack so broke no joke geting laughed at. The track has a nic laid back vibe that urban radio stations would scoop up in a second and thats how most of the album is. The mixtape though does have his flaws for he is lyrical most of the album seems like the saem track over and over again money,weed, hoes, but he does switch this up on the album stand out "we'll be back soon" where he delivery's some of the albums bes lnes "press my joes buddens gotta pump it up" this track see's haily talking abut lifes stress's and how he never left the game just was perfecting this album. You know my feelings on young trouble hes not he best emcee and ive never been the best fan of his, but the more i here from him the more he matures in his flow. When i first heard the opening sample from the beat i was shocked because troubles spitting in a diffent beat selection then his normal comfort zone. Even on subject matter trouble steps out of his comfort zone n a track about his fight with the devil and the demons he deals with on a daily. It isnt often when i come across a group of talent local emcees i havent heard of, but 6 years after there first mixtape me and most of the lehigh valley are finally hearing of lehigh villains. Consisting of easton natives lokey7 zen and sosa lehigh villains bring a unique sound to the valley. Filled with conspiracy theory's, intelligence, and some of the most complex bars ive heard in a minute the awakening is a breath of fresh air from the normal basic mother goose style trash i receive on a daily. The mixtape starts off with the epic underground track "knock knock" that has a vey laid back violin sampled beat with 3 verses filled with some of the slickest woven multis ive heard in a minute. "holding the bible as my torch, make you abort your mission force hit you with the rhythm audible was written in ancient scripture i use your blood to paint the picture with change the depiction no intermission when i initiate the crippling envisioning the diminishing of the devils grin" lokey7 spits with perfect delivery. there arent two many other rappers spitting this complex and n the lehIgh valley alone there are only 2 more who are spitting on this level. The rest of the lv villains are right up there on the complexity level in the same track sosa spits with a gritty hard fitting punchline styled delivery and dj zen mixes both with a solid verse.with lyrics this ill you'd expect them to tame down a little witch doesnt happen. Even when they shitch up there delivery scheme they pull it off flawless, on tracks like devils advocate when the beats a little more upbeat they keep there delivery on point not straying from the beat alot of emcees have nowadays. sosa comes hard and on point on this track "the most amazing Caucasian alien affiliation facing the caged the nation of Satan" Alot of there lyrics have a dark atheist styled tone but thats how they are there conspiracy theorist who need to be shown facts to belive. each rapper holds there own all showing complex styles of multi use zen one shines his best on the track rise up "contemplating my fate in a meditative state as i open my shockwaves to keep my back staight. This album has alot of gritty streat tales lyrical assaults but one of my favrioe tracks is when there in story telling mode on the track "life's lessons" when they spit on there upbrining and what caused there downfall. On a lyrical level there flawless, beat selection in supburd the only flaw i can see is the vocal chorous,s the chick can sing just it strays off beat a little besides that this has to be one of the top 3 relases in the 610 this year.

Im start off by saying elchain records as a whole has been growing on me, i wasnt feeling last years futuristicguerillabouncemusic to much but everything ive heard from the camp this year ive enjoyed. Now with phazewun ive always admired him as a producer but never consistent of a emcee like how alchemist is. On his latest mixtape "the intervention" phazewun impress's as well as falls short at times but overall entertains. On the opening track "abe" with rick chainy they spit a 610 anthem over "beamers, Benz and Bentley" that goes hard. Rick chainy spits a hot open verse but phazewun holds this track down the hardest. "i spit sick so the booth will be my death bed" phaze wun post in the opening bar, and on this track he definitely spits sick. " i step onto the mic with a surgeons mask on, and white rubber gloves the pens my scalable this is what i does" this is definitely creative playing the position of the dr. the revive the game. One thing that phaze wun is is original on all levels. the one thing he does lack is his own delivery staying true to artist who orignally spit on the track isntead of adapting his own delivery on the track "phaze vr marz" he spits over jay z venus vr mars to almost perfection but stays with jigas delivery style. "i get it in phaze goes hard flyer then a bird dudes so par everything i am is everything u so aren't got you bitch sudden death witch means no draws" now this bar is on point and the ending line is creative as can be but the flow is exactly the same rhyme scheme as jiggas original style. There are tracks where hes not as consistent with his flow then others like the sup par incredible with joey stlez, but the most part its consistent. One thing phaze does well is showing that wack tracks can be dope with the right emcees spitting on it as he murks "un-stanky legs" and makes the track listenable. he does have a hard time delivering like this on all beats though as his delivery calms down as where as his lyircs on the track "haterade" over guccis lemonade.he brings a array of local talent from el chai alumnies to 610 heavyweights like tug mcraw who spits one of his best verses yet on the track "who's dat" witch makes phaze wuns decent verse sound sup-par. phaze wun spits flawlessly though on the album stand out "victory lap" his rhyme scheme is at his most polished. "now im feeling real bored of rap,half my body feeling like a heart attack your a soldier wheres your army at we aint speaking japense we guna harbor that" not only is his flow intact his metephors are on point. Overall this is a solid effort it isnt perfect but its in the right direction. One thing i can say this mixtape has some of the most orginal and impressive metaphors ive heard all year.

p.stew is one of those rappers who's known all over the east coast on a underground level, hes got love from the 610 hip-hop scene as well as the long island hip-hop scene, and has done tracks with german super producers snowgoons, so p.stew deffintly has his grind on point. His newest mixtape sons of anarchy shows exactly why he's buzzing the way he is. Dudes got a flow, as well as versitility. The opening track "sons of anarchy" within the first 4 bars outshines most rappers full albums. "im making my mark my basic remarks can shine though the dark and grind though your heart" this guys got his rhyme scheme down bout and for the most part is consistent. p.stew spits some witty metephors on the track "can't stand you" "my flow is flammable kind of like propane.l Now there a few instances even on this track where he has some extended bars that fuck up for the most part is a perfect flow. "its simple as this my vision is mixed im twistin a spliff convinced my gift is to bust clips" besides that the finishing rhyme the bar is flawless so one extended bar here and there isnt making to much of a negetive impact on this mixtape. P.stew express's some real life struggles "everydays a battle gotta keep on fighting" he anounces on everydays a battle and takes you his journey of the struggles he takes on a daily and how he overcomes the hard times. He also has tracks about the streat life, on the track "real shit" with future legends him and the colaborators bring the harsh reality some times you gotta do grimey shit to support your fam. "lil man is still hungry but mom becoming homeless shes out there on the streets chasing the white poney" then one of the future legends who spits this verse goes in vid story telling details how the son starts selling drugs to survive because thats all he knows. The standout on this album for me is "hold me down" from the flawless beat to p.stews coke styled flow n this track is on point. Lyrics are topnotch and delivery is on point. This is one of those shockes where i actually like the whole mixtape, there are some flaws but ot enough to have me stressing about it. Though this mixtape there are drops from some of the undergrounds most known from dj delz, j bizel of dipset, block mcloud you can tell dude has big things in store. Also like i said he has a 610 connection and it shines on the track da ghetto with eastons one mb and lyrical heaywieght ransom

this collab couldn't be more perfect. two of the hottest up and coming groups in the local scene jumping on a track together, shaze and galo of pocono based left lane nation teaming up with double and young budd of the hurt to spit about how close to stardom they both are. Double starts off a little off with his flow has alot of on and off extended bars, but finishs smoothly with a nice rhyme scheme. Pachino starts off with a heart felt gripping tale of his life and the impat of a homie death. The video couldnt be more relevant, shot in black in white at a cemetary brings a eary mood to his verse that sets it to perfection. Young t spits 2nd with one of his most polished verses to date. Nowadays it seems that everyone and there mother call themselves a emcee, and 95% of these so-called emcees claim "there the nicest" when in reality maybe 10% of them actually have lyrics that don't make my ears bleed in disgust. Yea maybe its a new era for the hip-hop scene its not about lyricism, it about auto-tune dance crazes, sex and hustling, still there all artist with platinum plaques that still can flow with the best of them. Even the logic that lyricism don;t sell is obscure because the best underground rappers like tech n9ne living legends, atmosphere, insane clown posse just to name a few have more money from this rap shit then one hit wonders like soulja boy, yc, hurricane chris, and ace hood. The reason for this cus since the new millennium the hip-hop game has changed with the pace of the mainstream pop scene, and because of this the true routes of hip-hop have been forgotten. So im gonna break it down for these wack cats and show them the essence of hip-hop, the rules of being a emcee.

1.Take all criticism good or bad and don't be a bitch about it

If you ever seen the movie "almost famous" you know my kind the critic is known as "the enemy" to musicians because most musicians can't handle the truth. I know that true talent doesn't sell no more in most minds but that does not mean people aren't gonna call you out on your wackness. Since i started my blog over 2 years ago I've had artist threaten to sue me, fuck me up on the streets, and even hack my blog to delete there reviews cus my opinion was destroying there reputation. No throwing a 3 year old style temper tantrum wil ruin your reputation, deffintly in modern times. With youtube, facebook, and twitter your bitch moves will be known on a global scale and wil,l effect your career heavy. Do you really think you can threaten spin rolling stones, the source, xxl and other monthly magazines for giving you a bad review. Shit like that will probably get you blacklisted in the industry but artist are all about the paper and don;'t care about things in the long run witch brings me to my 2nd rule.

2.create something timeless

If you wanna make a career as a rapper even if your making something poppy for a quick paycheck you need to make something that will stand the test of time. Most rappers nowadays are one hit wonders and that one hit isnt enough to support you on. Yea i know there are some exceptions to this mc hammer, vanilla ice sir mix-alot are probably still living comfortably off one hit but this don't happen to often. I bet in 5 year some of you rappers probably wont even be able to stand your own music thats if you already can. There are rappers and group out there still selling there back catalog. Take de la soul for a instant there debut album 3 feet high and rising took close to 15 years to get platinum, witch means people are still buying this album on a daily basis. 5 years from now nobody will be buying soulja boy tell em, or wacka flacka flame, and they will never see a platinum plaque. So you need to make music that will survive the test of times, rakims "microphone fiend" can still be heard in movies and video games of today and still could prob hit the radio stations in this era and become a hit.

3.be original

Even if you are one of these poppy mainstream cats originality is a key to sucess. there was someone who started the auto-tune craze, there was someone to first "duggie" "jerk" someone started the hyphy movement and kanye west created drake whole style so having a original concept can still sell instead of dickriding on whats hot. It made me sick when i head pitbulls "castle on the sand" that mimic love the way you lie by eminem you know people are money hungry when domestic violence is used as a gimmick to sell. This even goes to the underground cats be original even if its not in the subject matter come with metaphors that no one else has heard or used instead of being cliche.

4.no pre-written freestyles

"you wanna battle i got a hot verse that will murk you" i actually heard this on a youtube video. If your that "dope" of a emcee why do you need to take a verse out of your notebook to "murk" someone in a battle. Freestyles are off the dome. I was discussing this with lowkey7 of lehigh villians and we came to a conclusion PEOPLE DONT KNOW THE MEANING OF FREETYLE. iN THE NEW ERA OF HIP-HOP FREESTYLES JUST MEaN NOT READING OFF PAPER WHEN IN TERMS ITS SPITTING FRESH RHYMES WITHOUT A SECOND TO THINK. Take 5-10 minutes out of your day put on a hot beat and practice. sit there and spit even if your wack at first the more you keep at it the more polished your flow will get

5. read a dictionary and thesaurus

Some underground cats even need do this simplicity when it comes to rhymes is a problem overall in hip-hop. emcees spitting one sylabal words that anyone can use witch ends up with people thinking that your a biter. Theres only so many ways you can rhyme dance, hustler, in im fuck you, so eventually someone gunna spit the same bar you have by mistake. Spend a half hour or so looking at a dictionary finding new words, or if you plan on rapping about sex, n drugs get a thesaurus and find another way to say what you wanna do. Being intelligent will help you stay original.

6.be real in your music

nowadays every rapper claims to be a hustler, every rapper claims to have millions, every rapper claims to have bedded thousand of chicks when in truth 95% of you are just putting on your best pokerfaces to hide the truth. There music videos are paid models, there chains are rented and money is fake, and the closest some of these rappers have ever got to "the trap" is re-runs of the wire on hb0. When the truth is revealed on how fake you actually are a huge blow will come to your rep and respect. Yea in some cases this is not true, take rick-ross for example he was found out to be the one arresting the trappers instead of being one and still has a fanbase, but he has switched his style up a little bit, and has lost all respect when it comes to truthfulness. The more you stay true to your self in your lyrics the better you will be. And if you do wanna rap about sex, drugs, and gangerism and havent lived it become a story teller. Create movies with your pen, legends like tupac, slick rcik , and scarface have made a career off this tactic. Write about what you see write a story from a 2nd person point of view of the gritty streat live. Make sure you use vivid details describing what your spitting, make it cinematic so people can visualise what they here isntead o just hearing the same shit over and over again.

7.find a producer to complement your style

Nowadays everyone wants to work with the magor beatmakers and spity on the top beats even if there flow and style of rhymes will feel akward on the beat. Go back to the days of eric b and rakim kool g rap and dj polo rza and the wu-tang, and locally godilla and reign supreme. Find a prodcer that complements your style of rhyme and your vision. Lyrics are important but if you dont have the correct beat your vision will be lost in the mix.

8.Have a legit hustle with your music

Nowadays everyone is posting there music on datpiff, myspace, facebook twitter, and so on and the only way there promoting it is though social networking. Yea you may have 500 friends but how many of those 500 friends are actually gunna check out your music. With digital downlods the era of a pressed demo is forgotten but go to staples get about a 100 blank cd's press out a 5 track ep and hand it out outside local venues, local music shops, press up some flyers and put them in windows of local buisness's. Get a street team together to help spread your name on the streats. My cousin has this hustle down to a t. He goes state to state in his car on a weekly drives 5-6 hours out the way and sells his demos across the us even in london. Social networking isnt gunna get you the word of mouth you want all the time since everyone is a musician nowdays go travel get your name out there.

9.study the classics

rap is a career choice for some so you need to study, educate yourself. Go to your local music store, ick up eric b and rakims paid in full,put inspektah decks verse on triuphm and holocaust verse on silkworm on repeat, study there multi set up, study the way they weave there lyrics together. Listen to commons i used to love h.e.er take notes on the way he uses a women as a metephor for dying hip-hop. Your not just gunna become a polished emcee if you don't take the time to study the roots.

10.PUT YOUR HEART INTO YOUR RHYMES

This is important there alot of rappers out there who just rap for a paycheck and dont enjoy what they do. You need to put your heart into what you do. You need to treat your next mixtape like you would treat your child with tender love and care. You woulnt wanna set up your kid for failure why would you wanna do that with your music. You wouldnt beat your kid, so why would you put trashy un-polished lyrics into your musi, its bruising your ego. If you put your heart into your rhyme put down the mic

Now this is what hip-hops missing 2 tourntables, and emcees not afraid to expose the truth of america. Overall they are a refreshing reminder of the elements of hip-hop like there stuck in the 80's. There content level defiantly isnt for everyone but if your a fan of acts like the lost children of baylon, immortal technique, sage francis, you will deffenently find the lehigh villians enjoyable. All year long ed monsta has slowly been making a name for himself in the 610 rap scene, either it be his collaborations with jon qwest to the 610 anthem "a.be" with campgrounds, you don;t have to be a fan of the local scene to have heard about the anticipated monsta weight. After a heavy delay its finally here and what i can say it was deffintly worth the wait. This mixtaped is packed with tracks that every type of hip-hop fan could find something to vibe out to. Monsta starts off heavy with pure lyrical prowness on "flow" spiting some witty and original metephors "i spit sick leave your speakers sneezing", and follows up with one of my favriote tracks "came in this world" where monsta gets deep in his personal upbringings "my mother loved me m father dumbed me" monsta keeps a steady flow with a polished delivery that is more gritty than usual tracks. Monsta holds strong on this album on his own but when he brings in the 610 heavyweights you know this albums FIRE!! On the track fourth of july he recruits eastons most known emcee mb and his cut ent assocates b wells and sherm for a track that is flawless in all ways. From a epic gritty streat style beat with a smoothly sampled rock guitar, and a quik paced dipset styled beat that gets you hyped from the start. "ya boy taking flight like a missle at night destory your whole battlefield lite up the night fire works you see em in the sky" this hook is both catchy and well delivered setting up for a track of pure lyrical onslought. Ed monsta leads off this track with one of his best and most complex lyrical efforts to date. he keeps a nice 3 multi flow thouhouut rhyming some 2 syllable words and letting his lyrics slip off his toung smoothly. Mb comes on 2nd spitting on some real life shit "yea i got shot almost fuckin died" keeping with a streat giritty delivery and enough guns n streat tales spit so vidily in detail you can actually picture the events he spitting. b. wells and sherm don't let down as well making fourth of july one of my fave tracks out of the 610 this year. Like i said this album has tracks for everyone he's got club bangers "dance for me mami" street tales "my hood" and underground styled lyrical assaults "heavy with that." and emotional in memory of tracks like "change gun come" witch goes ot to all the fallen yougins in the 610. this mixtape does have it flaws tracks like "step on the scene" have monsta switchign his delivery and stretching out his bars witch fuckes up the flow. but for the most part this is a solid effort and a solid debut.

This emcee isnt just another wanna be rapper who's trying to fit in with the every changing hip-hop scene this dudes got flow plus some radio friendly jams that any rap fan could enjoy. the album starts on a bragacio styled track "better then ever" claiming "i'm better then i ever been if your trying to get a win take lessons from me" now knowing me as a critic im always iffy when a rapper makes these claims but the more you listin to this song and here his complexed and developed wordplay you relise this dudes not just another mediocore emcee. "feel the grace you can see in my eyes you can see in my face i have the meaningn of wise" as you see he has a nice rhyme scheme that is consitant though the album. Noto only is pr probz flow on point he has a heavy mainstream appeal listen to tracks like "stack dem stacks" and "favriote girl." hes got music for the street runners "who im rob tonight" " plus tracks for the underground cats "trapped" and on the radio. The song trapped is my favriote song on the album the beat has a old school vibed turntable scratching and ill wordplay. This has to be theh most verstilel mixtape ive ever heard there shouldnt be a rap fan who wont find something listanable

The H.U.R.T have basically come out of nowhere in 2011, from being unheard of in the 610 to going on tour with King Magnetic and Reef the Lost Cauze and having one of the biggest buzzes in the 610 area. This young, up and coming group consists of Young Budd, Tigga, and Double. They have a very old school flow which has led to them being one of the leading breakout groups locally. The beat to “Cheers” has a nice feel and a good vibe that you can just sit there with your homies feeling real relaxed while sipping on some Henny. The hook is both catchy enough to get radio play and real enough to stay true to themselves. Young Budd starts off first with a double multi-flow as he keeps the same rhyme for two bars then switching it up describing how they “got the spot jumpin’ and its party season.” Tigga comes on second sounding like a younger version of Lupe Fiasco, staying with a slick laid back flow that sets up the final verse from Double. With a track like this, you could get any club and bar on their feet. Overall this track has all the mainstream appeal and enough flow to keep the underground heads bumping. Now this is hip-hop!

when i was in i was in jail last year another inmate on my block would make claim he ran a record label called q records that was home of bg and claimed he was dating the chick from j-holidays bed video. He had false business cards, a false website, and even a false wikipedia made for this false label. I believed him actually in till i got out and checked bg' website to see he wasn't signed to such label, out of a long-shot i wrote bg on myspace asking if he ever heard of this guy shockingly he wrote back and responded "no clue who he is just another wanna be rapper trying to get success from others". When i got out this got me thinking about a claim a local hip-hop artist made with no fact base around it earlier in the year. redmcfly was promoting himself as the headline for kid cudi's performance at Lafayette college in april of 2010. He promoting it on facebook and myspace and never once did i think any suspicion of it because he was a lv award winning rapper and looked to be respected in the 610 scene. I was at that show and the only opening act was chiddy bang, i had confronted him the next day and he said he got a call hours before the show from kid cudis manager that chiddy bang could be the only opening act but red claimed "that he be touring with kid cudi next year" if anyone who's doubting all quotes im using are direct quotes from facebook and aim conversation with the people im quoting that i have saved in my inbox to be disclosed if needed. Anyway this was kind of suspicious for the fact that he never once posted on facebook that he was told not to open up so people had believed this. Like i said i did to since he was locally recognized. This was the first of many doubts and false promotion techniques used by red mcfly over the course of 2010-2011 from fake collabo's and mix tapes to paying labels to distribute his stuff. Im the type of guy who has to have my suspicions proven right before i make a steady conclusion. So even though he had many questionable carer moves he was claiming i still had some belief dude was legit since no one has proven him wrong. A few month ago my suspicions started becoming fact. Me and a writer from philly based 215hiphop.com started discussing the insane and dishonest promotion tactics artist used to get heard and how the days of slanging demos and making a buzz from your self is gone. This discussion was actually on a youtube video i posted on facebooks status comments of soundclick artist hard target putting all his videos under new eminem songs to get known. During this discussion i actually brought up red mcly's new mixtape back to the future that he claims was released off def jam and how i thought he was using that as a promotional technique. You are not signed to the label or have any ties to the label def jam just puts your album on i-tunes for a oost. After finding this out i told my source other doubts i had about red including his 2 most successful mix tapes he was featured on one being revenge of the nerds and the other being the mixtape we run pa that featured red wiz khalifa and meek mills. My source let me know two things very valuable one that the revenge of the nerd mixtape serious that red was featured on was fake as hell. In 2006 lupe fiasco released a acclaimed mixtape entitled revente of the nerds that got over 25k downloads and it was suspicious reds mixtapes had the same name. Not even a month ago i posted a review on murdocs the polo affair its seems that this was just the PRE-MIXTAPE FOR THE REAL POLO AFFAIR ALBUM. So it seems murdoc is heavy on the grind from ending up on my mid year top 5 songs in the 610 with no hands to a consistent single grind murdocs showing you that he aint giving up till TRIBELAND RECORDS is coming out of everyone's speakers. His first single off the polo affair album night time is a gritty street anthem over a sped up piano style beat that sounds like something you would here in a hood flick. He starts off with a nice multi-rhyme scheme set-up "tell me what you wanna do gotta get to spitting right in front of you i leave you where u standing where u living where you running to say you wanting beef but the beef is whats its coming to i hit you with the one and 2 take the ground from under you" And for the rest of his verse his rhyme scheme stays on it also hitting some witty metaphors "its bad what they calling me one of those white boys cocaine massacre im fuckin with that whte boys." double meanign metaphors always slick. Majyk gets on the mic second with lyrical prowess showing hes not only a producer but a productive emcee even ending his verse on a hot point "making n*gaz disapear thats why they call me magic. stays on he same street style as murdoc steady flow setting up another steady verse from nino. This track is definitely a street banger.

Theres no way you dont know who george burnz is Ive reviewed him multiple times on the blog, hes part of fight klub legend nems fuck ya lyfe movement has local 610 ties and has been getting alot of net buzz the last few years. His newest album city of god shows you why george's hype has been so high dudes lyrical massacres every last beat on this track and this album couldn't have started off better. "ace of spades" has a EPIC beat with geoge burnez spitting had hitting punchlines with a heavy multi's filled rhyme schemes. "im be bigger then ringo star got that ill nino george burnes hotter then jalapeno i got a mean flow a pocket of green dro porter rock spitting fie like ricky the steamboat. His delivery is slick his multis just roll off his tounge with ease. "dudes got cocky gritty bucnhes "i got a mouth full of metal in im not talking about brace's. a opening track this dope youd expect him to fall of and if you expect that you def never heard george burnez spit before. he follows with the street styled track toolie that has a hauntingly gritty and catchy hook. Only bad thing i can say about this track is im not realy feeling the hook. nems holds his own his the best verse on the track pretty much rhyming off one word for most of the track. besides spitting lyrical rawness he also has some deep relate able stuff like the track fog spit over a acoustic guitar beat over his struggle to overcome lust. a vivd look into his mid an his betrayal of females. Shit goes in hard as hell. The track after this though shocked the fuck out of me burnes spitting over EVENESCENES BRING ME BACK TO LIFE the beat s hauntingly melodic as george keeps his lyrics hard. All in all i think this album has only one track gunther the hook is playful and degrade full the beat is a lil off flows still on point though. This mixtape is almost flawless.

I know i havent been the biggest fan of glock city daze dysh but this song is deep, reel, complex, an highly relatable. daze dysh goes in a cinematic styled flow so vivid you can see yourself in his situation. His flow still needs a lot of polishing every 2-3 bars he rhymes off the same word over and over or has a a basic o-2 flow In the middle of track he does spit a nice multi scheme. i was a kid didnt realy know much/ now im grown up n been though so much brodie shonuff." besides that his flow is still basic. Kids 19 an dgot a lot o frowing to do but this is one hell of a story type track riht out of the diary hes calls life. deffintly the best tracki heard from him so far. hope to see him spit more like this again

Whitney peyton is deffintly one strange rapper and not only because she looks like the softball star girl next door she also has one of the most versitle styles ive ever scene. She's put out tracks for the juggalo's tracks for the clubs, now she's got a collab with one of the undergrounds top emcees with planetary of outerspace witch will atratched the underground cats. She has tracks to reach evryfan base something most artist may claim. Now shes not the most lyrical emcee usually but her flow seems to be more intact on this track. The chorous starts off kind of iffy not to catchy and not to complex so it kind of fails but when she starts spitting she seems to actually be trying to rap for once. Now her flow is basic and off alot at times but compared to her usual syle she seems to matured on this track. "i'm not a gimick im a epidemic representing those who cant cus i just went out and did it and vrythign they wana say i just when out and said it its upsetting im not sorry adn will not regret it." i think this is the first time ive seen her use a extended multi scheme and she keeps it for the last 6 bars of the track now why couldnt the first verse be like. Planetary spits 2nd only thing i gotta say about this is more of the way its ied his ocals are louder then the beat and its not his usal style of beat so he's spittign a litle faster then the beat but lyrically hes on point. Her 2nd verse goes same as the first verse shes on and off with the multi scheme not to consitant. she deffintly seems to have grown as a artist but has alot of way o go to be a ritcal aclaimd mce bt when it comes to mainstream appeal shesgot that on lock.

I havent reviewed anything that had whitney peyton in a while and after i posted the flyer for her new album there were some people asking who she was so im review one of her latest tracks featuring a slew of top underground rappers including kottonmouth king alumns daddy x and dirtbag, the roc, and tonez. This track is pretty much one big cypher over a hard rock riff that really dont fit with there flows but that doesn't mean they dont flow well. im not gunna go to much in reviewing the collaboration artist besides Whitney and tone z cus this blog is ment for up and coming rappers but having collabs like this though grind not cash payment is impressive. Whitney peyton starts off decent "ill rve you rhymes like a drive though dunkin donuts" she uses a pretty basic rap scheme some multis do surface but definitely nothing that stands out. tonez comes on last to a acpella beat boxing to start now tonez comes out hard on this track witch isnt shocking cus he usually dont let down. "Picasso with the pen dangerous off the celebelum." overall this track is decent nothing to special nothing to wack

Earlier this year i reviewed SPC affiliate stuy ty's oppressive compulsive disorder mix-tape, witch brought the hipster style of rap into the lehigh valley. He just released the video for the mixtapes first single solar home directed by josh ramirez of rap forever. All i got to say this track is on so many different levels. The beat reminds me of a dangermouse style track a type of beat you could probably trip on acid to and see a whole shit load of colors and feel at peace, his lyrics sound like one big metaphoric drug track. "woke up classroom bout midday, nap snap time like 5th grade" In the beginning this sounds like a innocent reminiscent of school times, and maybe this track is a double meaning track cus once the chorous hits you go back to that first line and say this dudes talking about drugs, get tired from getting baked get the munchies in passout. "bag of green Christmas trees i don't wanna leave remain a g i wanna go to my solar home." this is some hippy style chant that makes u just wanna wave back and force. This track is def a smoking song even though it prob wasn't ment at this nature. If you needed another reason to check them out there newest single features 610 veteran spitter pachino badnewz. And like the name of the song says this track goes in hard. All four spitters spit on a high level of lyricism. Tek nizzy opens this track up hitting with some clever punchline infused metaphors "my young bars will eat you cell games." multi infused bars "my logic props to my optics options of five topics stop or your die watching. and a overall a steady flow even his delivery goes hard. 2nd on the mic is young t switches his flow a little bit to a more rapid fire delivery to let his multi's roll of his tongue so effectively you get shivers down your spine that a 17 year old kid has such complex rhyme schemes. Pachino comes one 3rd spitting with a more laid back delivery then the other two. Dudes got a smooth rhyme scheme with a nice multi set up. ll:Well i have 2 say my 2 biggest inspirations when it comes 2 producing would have 2 be Dr Dre & Alchemist i will pretty much vibe with the artist i am working with when they are looking for something specific but when im working alone just making beats i look to more of a deep & dark vibe similar 2 Alchemist with a slower tempo then average but then again it all depends on the mood

abyss:Whats your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop?

LL:The state of Hip Hop 2 me is constantly changing & sometimes we need change it can be a good thing & a bad thing i think the internet has a lot 2 do with the state hip hop is in 2 day also the same way i feel people should give credit where credit is due & support there local artist i feel people also need 2 be more honest & let the ones know that just don't have it as a artist that they just don't have it not every one can be a artist but there is def a place for every one if they just work 2 geather and just attempt other things be creative & do what they can 2 play a role i think it can go a long way there cant be 5 Kobe Bryant's on the floor at the same time some 1 has 2 play the assist role the rebound role ext the game is full of opportunities but at the end of the day lets just be honest when speaking Hip Hop the 2 pac & biggie era i was raised in is long gone so if your not willing 2 adapt 2 change then chances are this game just isn't for u

abyss:Unlike most producers you can actually spit as well do you plan on releasing anything as a artist or you plan to stay more as a producer?

LL:Honestly it all depends on what the people want & who is buzzing in my camp at the time i don't see myself as an artist first so if i see more of a opportunity for 1 of my label mates to do there thing im probably going 2 focus my time more on them then myself i have more then enough of my own tracks to release a mixtape or album & i may in the future but right now my time is more focused on the up & coming artist who i feel are more hungry when it comes 2 the MC part Like i said im more for my people then i am for myself so i guess 2 answer the question i will probably be more of a Producer/Engineer then a Artist but then again the game is full of surprises LoL

abyss:What programs do you use to make your beats do u use one program or are you also into sampling?

LL:Usually i will use all different types of hardware like the akai mpc triton keyboards Motif Synthesizer workstations ext.and run it through pro tools it all depends where i am & what's available at the time but recently i have been using FL Studio Software im always looking 2 get the most out of everything available 2 actually make a beat on & judge for myself what's actually the best way & i do sample but its not really my first choice

ABYSS:What are your plans to get struggle music's name deeper into the 610 hip-hop scene?

LL:we are going 2 continue 2 push our name & work as hard as possible with anyone in the 610 willing to work with us like i was told by many record execs No1 makes it in this game alone!!! we will be Booking as many shows as possible and Networking on a consistent basis right now thats our biggest plan

abyss:What inspired you to become a producer?

LL:Again i would have 2 say Dr. Dre was probably my biggest inspiration when it comes 2 being a producer it was just always intriguing to me growing up & watching Dre over a massive mixing board & hearing the sounds he brung from it at the same time i come from a Musical Family My Father Is A well known Drummer In A Band in puerto rico although i wasn't raised by him many family members tell me thats where my Talent in music comes from but my step father who i was raised by R.I.P was also into a wide variety of music he knew i always was into beats more then anything so he brought me a synsonics drum machine for xmas when i was 7 years old & the rest from there was pretty much history LoL other then that i just enjoy working with people who have the same love for music as i do & constantly work 2 get better! the outcome of good chemistry & a track the people can Feel & relate 2 means more 2 me then any dollar amounts i guess its just in my blood

abyss:Lastly what do you think of the local scene as a whole and do you think you and the rest of struggle musik bring anything to the table to rock the local scene?

LL:Honestly i believe there is a lot of talent in the local scene with the right Engineering & Production i feel a lot of artist can go along way but as i said earlier No1 can do it alone so i feel Artist should learn 2 respect each others talents more & get rid of all the senseless beefs that go on the town is 2 small for all that & at the end of the day its just not worth it i def believe i can bring a lot 2 the table there are a lot of tracks i hear that i wish i could of recorded & mixed cause i hear the talent but when the sound quality isn't there a lot of big execs just wont even take the time 2 listen 2 it plus 2 me if u want ur music 2 be heard world wide & 2 be taken seriously it takes more then just a talented artist u need the whole package Production,Sound Quality,Street Team Ext. there are also a lot of talented artist in the struggle music camp & i believe if they work with other talented artist in the local scene the opportunities are endless

Thats why infamous swag is on his way to being one of the most talented cats in the lv. just turning 17 years old he already has one of the top releases this year with lyrical therapy 2 now he's allready releasing another mixtape n.i.g.g.a (never ignorant getting goals.) with a acronym like that you know this dudes creative. With the track top of the world he try's to spit so both real hip-hop heads and the mainstream cats woill take a look at his music. When he starts spitting you know this younging got his life in order "since i started getting nice and they understand, maybe a n*gga wont have to go back to selling grams, instead of that im selling mixtapes." dudes gt his head in the right direction and hi flow goe steady he got a nice rhyme scheme multi's entwined. He still has alot of room to grow but begin 19 and with this much talent you know hes out for big things.

Philip banks has been on his grind this year dropped mr. commercial earlier this year and has a slew full of new video' generating online showing his heavy year last year definitely wasn't no fluke. Going back to his deeper routes on his newest track list you see banks again letting you in his mind to understand a first hand account of his life's struggles. "i'm tired of them lonely nights grinding to the morning lights, out to get mine every piece and its only right dont have much but what i got i hold it tight" not only does he give you a vivid look into his mind he entwines a nice multi filled rhyme scheme and lets his emotion be felt in his delivery. When the hook comes in you start to think of your own struggles. A track that got you reflecting on your life you know somethings right. "lost and confused still i keep going" he gives a positive message about never givin up. I wish more rappers spit this way maybe theres be less dropouts and unemployment rates if lil wayne spit on this direction. im deffintly waiting the next banks alum he seems to get better with every release.

When it comes to word of mouth support i don't think there any rapper in the 610 that's touching the buzz generated by Allentown emcee automatic. Not only does he have one of the best flows in the 610 he's tracks are street worthy, airplay ready and club jumping. The total package a emcee needs critically acclaimed and 2011 relevant. It helps to have a producer that is as versatile with his sound as meetbeatz as well. Automatics latest single "let me in" off his highly locally anticipated album diamond in the dirt is a club styled track about trying to hook up with a chick. Yea a cliche style track for rappers but automatic keeps the concept fresh. The tracks starts off sexually explicit with short bars to start off the track to set up for a more hard hitting flow, he dont have many lines that stand out in the first verse but he starts hitting heavier in the 2nd verse. Like i said he has a steady flow on a track any fan of rap either lyrical or street would cop.

Its been a little bit since i heard of anything from whiteboi d the local immortal technique poliical styled rapper. Hes been on his grind on the show circuit though and he finally released his latest mixtape mixed emotion. From the spoken word intro you know your bout to listen to something unlike the rest of the local hip-hop scene and that deffintly isnt a bad thing. He starts off this mixtape on the more emotional tip on the track breathe with one lyfe. The beat sets a deep reflection style tp flow that drags u in to listen to this emotionally driven track. One lyfe's verse is a depressing angle about a bad styled break up giving vivid details about how he's feeling. When white boi d hits the mic he keeps with his emotions in his delivery while keeping a steady flow, staying on the same subject matter of a bad break up. Not his best work but still better the 80 percent of whats out now adays. The next track is on the same type as of breathe a song ment to the chicks, but the drop the world remix witch is next shows white boi d's versatility, with a complex style flow. "my ods are on fire i ignite" dude keeps real only issue i got this dude must forget he's white us he uses n*gga alot witch i mentioned in older reviews. This album is a lot diffrent from what im used to from whiteboi d though alot of his tracks are about women and spiting about weed, but he keeps his flow steady witch shows his versatility. This mixtape has some of his older tracks like the stoy telling track issues that orignally got me listening to whiteboi d. one of the albums stand outs is the deeply spit off my chest. Getting heavily personal on th elines of joe budden mood musik. spitting about mental illness, hating hi work, family issues dude goes realy deep on this joint. Between some of the best instrumentals ive heard on a 610 mixtape and whiteboi's constant flow this is a refreshing listen.

I know alot of people complain every time i review godilla tracks cus there usually highly rated and people claim favoritism, its not favoritism its just the complainers would know what true hip-hop sounds like. He's probably the most consistent emcee in the local hip-hop scene never spitting to disapoint. This time he comes intact with a ill collabo with tone liv, who also doesnt fail to impress. manybeats instrumental sets a nice uplifting i wanna win type of vibe to the track, so your allready hyped before tone liv opens his mouth.Ton livs style reminds me alot of chif kamahi of aotp, from his deliver to his style of rap and punchline setups. His flow is a little off but he delivers a hard hitting deliver makes up for it. "in your grill like a plate from a blue steal, so dramatic the flow change to wind chill" dudes got some creative lines and after he opening bars he has a nicely flow rhyme scheme incorporate at la 2-3 multi's pr bar with none of them are forced. Godilla spit second (i barley here him as a main spitter on a collabo) "this is the truth give me the polygraph you n*gaz spit rude and lolygag" dude starts off nicley then picks up heavily on the multi tip. "the god is ill thats a concrete fact survival of the fittist like the mob deep track, how do you put in work u consantly slack my reputation like a odd freak act." what emce locally paks more unforced muli's in a nicly delivered bar, not many So what yocall favriotism i call knowing talent when i here it.

I know this is gunna start alot of hate people claiming favoritism and a whole bunch of rappers pissed off thinking they deserve the cut. I keep it real i always have its my opinion yes but i have a very honest opinion. Alot of local emcees also complain its anew era emcees outto make money so ill show love to everyone in there on ways. Lets start off with the string of new emcee's heating it up this year in the 610.

Earlier this year i posted the 5 new emcees to watch out for and a few of them still make the cut mid year.
Lets start off in no order with sticky money. This emcee is not only the deepest artist in the 610 he's also the artist with the heaviest grind releasing the most material and none of it disappointing. He spits from the heart a aspect most local emcees now aday dont do. 2nd new emcee who has recently started getting a buzz is meetbeatz new accomplice frames. Now frames is the emcee that impress's me the most this year and proves all the rappers who say its a new generation lyricism wont sell anymore wrong. Not only is frames a dope lyricist his 2nd single secret girl with chachi b could be a top ten hip-hop track. Be on the look out for more from him soon.

Next new artist to be getting a buzz in this year is another one i had to watch out for this year in doeboy. Hes still working on his debut mix tape the lunch box but with 2 acclaimed singles under his belt so far he's keeping a steady grind plus hes getting personal like on his latest track don't leave me lonely, dealing with addiction. True hip-hop at its finest

Next is silva dollar. His name may have fallen off a little bit in a scene but he started off the year heavy with his first single don't look at me and putting a sure fire local classic in the disappearing act. Hopefully he didnt take a disappearing at and gets back on the grind promoting his music, cus he needs to be heard.

The last new artist who just recently the last few month impressed my ear phones is deth star affiliate ali. The first time i heard her was on the def star 420 mixtape where she held her on on a posse full of dudes. Her discovery's gritty flows top not and she hows there female emees that can actually spit so don't look at nicki minaj when you just femcee's.

Another thing strong this year in the Leigh valley was the rash of music videos by 610 artist, and when it came to looking for a director 3 were used on a constant basis. josh ramirez, j nuno, and fred savage who all made mltiple visual masterpieces to local emcees lyrics, but it was a director who had one amazing video who directed he best video this year in the cinematic styled me vido by redmcfly and the one who shot this amazing video was l.money of arizen records. The video plays like a mini movie with a story line alot reds girl catching him cheating, with beautiful cinematography.

Heres my opinion on the other four videos i think hit the right points this year.

mr. b feat f.a.c.e the beast addict directed by josh ramirez of rapforevermedia.
king magnetic feat general steele, estoric, ali armz, godilla, jus allah and vinnie paz watch out. mani the nigitar get it all directed by j.nuno.

Just because a videos hot doest mean the track is even though most of those 5 tracks were pure assaults of lyrical dynamite. Heres my opinion on the top 5 singles of the year again no order based off lyricism.

When it comes to local label movements there are two that are making magor buzz in a-town and one of them is f.a.c.e da beast chedda records. Every artist ive heard from the label have talent and i havent been disapointed from a release from the crew. There newest artist lil kong doesnt disapoint. He has a girtty celivery for some hard street styled lyrics. "any beef out the window the gun blow they go ratatatat like a drumroll" as you see dudes got nice punches and creativity. tracks flows mooth even though it fucks up cus he goes accapela whee u can barley hear his vocals about a minute into the track. Its only about a 16 so you cant tell to much bout with depth but dudes deffitly got potential will be on th elook out for more from this up and coming emcee.

J.rose is one of a kind, shes a rapper, a spoken word artist and shes one of the most versitile rappers ive seen when it comes to subject matter and style, and her newest track disapear shows a diffrent side of her pure emotion and she also shows her vocal strength as a singer. "if i could disaper and go whever i want id sit alone in stare at the sun asking it why it gave me this name from the soul inside of me witch it game." this is deep and would be a great spoken would peace/ She has great vocal deth to bad it soudn sliek its autoned cus she deffintly has a nicley voive. Her verse goes deep how shes wish she had someone whol held her down and not use her. This track goes deep and shows a diffrent side of jannese rose.

allentown emcee jay nut has been getting a steady buzz as of late so its time us over here at eastcoast underground give him a check out. Its takes a bout a minute ito the track till his verse even hits but when it does its worth the minute you wait watching this wierd ass video. "influenced by the game the same game that they ruined" is one of the truest statements ive heard in a while so true everyone is inspried by legends but they come out with wackness. His rhymc scheme hits heavy hitting some nicely etwined lines "i might conduct every mic that i touch thats real emcee for all you and r fake fucks and he even takes it to the golden age of hip-hop. "its the return of the mics and the turntables. This track hits hard yes his delivery is a little basic at points but this track is refreshign comared to some of this shit that sbeen handed my way

You know you got talent if you can make a track with a sampled lil waye hook go hard, up and coming allentown femcee comes with a hard hitting track with fellow deth star member young t on the track up all night. The track starts off with young t spitting again i think he needs to delvelope his delivery a little bit but his flow deffintly hits with a nice hitting metephor "guns busting you think its europe cus every n*ggaz rushing. ali comes after a half verse and her delivery is one of the grittiest in the valley prob 2nd to hitman of tribeland. She comes with a hard hitting verse about selling drugs and the stree tlife that fits her gritty as fuck flow, and comes even harder on her 2nd verse. "hands down im the best there is they rippin out there bresteses so i do the breath stroke n i cant even swim yo." this chcicks deffintly got a flow and is one of the rappers i see will come on top this year

For anyone who's listen to this thinking the beat and the track itself sounds a little like daze dysh's rest in peace yo is because there pretty much the same track make sure you look at the release date though THIS CAME OUT FIRST and he shows that you can make a tribute track with pure lyrical ability plus showing true emotion in your delivery witch trully hits a heart and emotions in a tribute track. "this is for you the base is your heartbeat" this is one of the most creative lines ive heard in a while. "fuck if i sell a million i just wanna see you" words from a true emcee who rather see his homies one last time then a hit. Overall this track hits a nerve and if you know any of the people in this tribute i bet your shedding a tear in this emotionally drivin track

J Capitol P- Do My Thang (REVIEW)

da boy jp has been getting his name known though stragetic weekly freestyles, mixtapes, his radio show, and now he releseas his first video witch is directed by one of the araes most respected music directors. He came in this year with a steady buzz even earning a stash box award for emcee to look out for in 2011. And he deffintly dont disapont with his first single do my thang. The minute the beat hits you know this is ment to be a club hit. The base is infectious and would get any club moving, the hook is catchy and his delivery hits hard. His lyrics are tamed down a little bit from other tracks we have heard him but he still hits with some nice multi-rhyme schemes, but his verses arent full 16's witch doesnt give him enough time to get his rhymescheme deliloped. the first 2 minutes a minute and a half seems to be the hook. The 2nd verse hits alot harder even though again his spittign 4 bars then going into the hook kind of make it so his flow don tadd up to much. This track is a pure club hit though witch i wouldnt be suprised youd here in a loca club. deeffintly the right choice for a first single

I know this mixtape came out in april but with all the problems ive been having i finally have time to review this mixtape hosted by deth starr. A whole mixtape full of weed songs deffintly a stoners dreams, deffintly when the emcee's arent ass that are spitting on it. The first track is the posse cut pound for pound the emcee's range from basic emcees to heavy punchline hitting to gritty flow. Ali and plex stand out heavy deffintly plex who has some creative metaphor infused punchlines "im so geeked my n*ggers call me urkle im so beached in im not talking myrtal. Next actual track is smoking purple by young twitch is another black and yellow track. Now im kind of sick and tired of this beat cus its been having somewack shit spit over it once and a while. The hook is deffintly catchy but his delivery isnt on point, but when the verse comes he gets his flow intact, but destroys it with all the random samples. Plex is deffinty the strong point on this mixtape smoke dis has a mellow flow a smooth releaxed hook, and a steady weeded flow, and he keeps spitting that fire on pounds of green. Overall this mixtape is a good listen
