after putting one of last years BEST rap cd's with body of god you'd think june marx has peaked or at least he'd take a breather. Not him this is what makes a true lyricist no breaks even after putting out a critically acclaimed album you stay with the pen an the pad and stick to the music hustle doing what you love he most even if your fanbase is minimal. Im use to hearing pure lyrical onslought tracks with marz no hooks just pure lyrics alot of sceitiic talk internal rhyming but his latest track no matter shows marx going into a direction a more uplifiting track with a nice melodic beat by elhuana. "crafting this wisdom to patch the scars" is one of the realest lines ive heard in a while deffintly since thats why i spit. I like versitile emcees like this can spit complex and uplifiting while staying true to himself. i dont think there has been a line ive heard from marx i havent liked

Adlib "The League" Featuring Steele, UG, Godilla and Ali Armz
When it comes to 610 emcees i dont think there are any emcees doing it as big as adlib, and godilla. Everytrack any of these two release nowadays has a hip-hop legend on the track. nine, el sensia, main flow, june marx, thirstin howl, slain, king magnetic, edo , dany diablo, and constant others have all graced the mic with one of these heavy hitting lehigh valley emcee's. Now they have the pleasure of jumping on a track with general steale of the legendary smth and wesson. Now if that isnt making it i dont know what is. Id love to have a collab list like the one aov i wouldnt give a fuck if i had a deal in my mind that right there would be making it and they prove with there lyrics that they deffintly desrerve the respect theyhave been getting over the years. Godilla has one of the most complex style flows out of anyone out of the lehigh valley, his internal rhyme scheme is impressiveneough but he doesnt just use simple words using sinitific terms in his verse. Ive been trying to get a verse to prove his ability but ur gunna haveto listen to yourself his multis entwine so well ou hae to lsiten over and over just to get the whole bar heavily impressive. Ali armz former rotten garden recors signie come strong wwith his verse and proves his lyrical aility has maured since his outacity days with tore gatling. Adlib finish's it off with probally the best verse on this track. "i ride with a tek like im rolling with steale" adlib proves hes both witty and highly metephorical and unless you actually no hip-hop wouldnt have cought on to it but overall ALL 3 lib, ali, illa doing big things for thei 610

Red McFly - ME (Music Video)
RED is deffintly the most known and the closest local emcee to blowing up in the 610. You also know ive been pretty harsh on red as a lyricist on the past, but his latest track ME impressed me on so many levels. Idk if i should start on how well shot this video is POSSIBLY the best video ive scene out of he 610 hip-hop scene l-money shot a briliant video that reminds me more of a short movie then a music video. What i am gunna talk about though is how in just 67 month it seemed red matured as a emcee, his delivery feels alot stronger on the beat then it usually does. Now the subject matter isnt something new in hip-hop A MAN GETTING GOT UP CHEATING BY HIS GIRL but most artist dont vividly display the senerio like red is in this track "she staying up all night allready getting ready for a big as fight" overall this is a nice woven story over a nice beat and topped off by a video that goes along with the track something you uszually dont see and im do something i usually dont do give 2 rating

Automatic "Thank You" Featuring L Money
nowadays every emcee is trying to sing and usually thats a bad thing unless you ACTUALLY HAVE A PRODUTIVE VOICE. the new track thank you bu automatic feat l-money shows l-money displaying his smooth vocals on the hook while letting automatic destroy the track lyrically. This track goes hard one not only does automatic display heavy hitting lyrics between the upbeat instremantals frommeat beats and l-mneys smooth flowing hook this track also has potentel as a single you;d here on the radio as well as a track that would keep a well respected emcee true to his skills. Im defintly impressed by this track on all levels.

LPerfex Leave me Alone
L-PERFEX is a veteran in the local hip-hop scene thats at the end of his road already releasing his last album, at least he's leaving on good terms with a track that definitely shows thats he's one of the realest emcees in the valley. perfex first first goes to haters, the bad critics, shifty friends that you cant trust, prtty much subject matters most people can relate to now adays. "talking about i can get down with you if i wanna why the hell i need you for" shows that hes a emcee that knows hes better then most and hates to be underestimated. Now im not feeling the chorous or the beat to much but lyrically perfex goes strong deffintly starting off the 2nd verse "every album is selling im bout to open up a drive though 99 cent singles fries and a coke" "instead of sending me money people sending me beats'" He deffintly shows he's heavy lyrically while proving some good points on theindustry. Not his best lyrical but still better then most plus sometimes a good message to get across is what it takes to make a diffrence

"Murder with A T" Fred Savage f/ Hitman and Little Spirit REVIEW
Tribeland records has been heavy on there grind so far in 2011, and on a lyrical point there at there peak. Fred savage starts off this track making some valid points (10 thousand local rappers and only 10 of them can rhyme) while displaying violent punchlines throughout the track with a gritty vocal that diplays he's serious (i come though and capture our spleen) He holds a steady flow throughout witout havig to force a bar like most emcees to keep the flow steady. Little displays a haunting hook tha goes perfect with the dark grimey beat this track is displayed on. Hitman finishes off this track, now hitman did something that impressed me and its not only his exceptional lyric abilt. Most emcees brag there the best while hitman claims )im lehighs valleys best, one of them) most emcees have to mch pride to state there not indeed the illest., with lines like this he deffintly is (my whole camps fire only a few can resit, they must be fire proof i a fire suite since im boss your all fired dude overall this track goes hard not much bad to say aout this

INTERVIEW WITH ED MONSTA
http://www.wix.com/edmonsta/edmonstaYesterday i had the opportunity to sit down with the latest artist signed to allentown based tribeland records ed monsta. Eds been heavy on his grind so far in 2011 starting off heavy with the black and yellow remix with campground abe to his recent allignment with tribleland now bare with me this isnt set up in a normal interview format to do me having to write everything down but i do have the basic information he supplied me with so sorry ed if it isnt word for word but it is what you gave me
what are his plans for 2011:
Plans on releasing mixtapes all year long and staying heavy on his grind. He believes its important to get your name out before dropping an album. Wants to get heavy on the show tip stating that shows are the best way to get your name out to a broader audiance.
His inspiration:
early 90's hip-hop scene when the rap game was looking to be peaking.
On his views on selling out:
Belives no one can trully answer this question. He does wanna stay true to his music but raising kids and econonomic struggles and if the money was right would take the leap to mainstream to supply for his family.
(i deffintly see this statement of a true artist, most emcee's now aday would sellotu for fame fortune bling and girls, but when he gave me this answer i could tell his minds set on giving his family the best life could give i deffintly respect ed)
his view on the local scene:
theres alot of talented emcees out of the valley but theres also alot of bad quiity that dooms some emcees.
(we discussed this and aggreed that soemtimes you have to put out bad quility tracks hopihg someone would here you and help you with studio time0
does he consider himself a versitile emcee:
states he can rap on every subject and emcees liek kanye west opened up the doors to rap about whatever you want and still make it in the rap game.
what can we expect from his debute mixtape:
he has his new project linked to some of the most respected prodcuers in the lehigh valley including jd of stunt dubs, m-dot of grind factory, nation of undivided attention, and majk of tribeland.
status of the mixtape"
currently has about 12 songs out nothing recorded wants perfection and not just wanting to push out material just to push out material like we both agreed alot of artist are doing now adays.
OVERALL: ED MONSTa has his head on straight when it comes to want he wants out of his music and deffintly has the correct midnstate to suceed. deffintly cant wait to see what else he has in store for 2011
