cold- george burnez feat j.rose

When it comes to doing big things in the eastcoast hip-hop music no click is grinding harder for success than nem's fuck ya lyfe unit witch consist of underground rappers wich such high profile's like battle rap kind iron solomon, vanuard, datin, and alot more. Two more artist that are apart of this movement are sibling jrose and Georg burnez. if you follow this blog you know they have done plenty of collaborations plus solo efforts and usually end up with critical aclaim. The latest pairing from this duo is the track cold that has onelove on the hook and keith blackmore on the beat. The beat m not feeling to much it has some odd horne's and a clubbish style over the hook that don;t fit the lyrics to much. George burnez starts off hard with his flow spitting about a cold hear-ted women that no doubt any guy can relate to. Now he spits with en-tended bars a trait most rappers cant pull off but the way he delvers it it fits perfectly with the beat witch sows he's a true wordsmith. Now he does tame down his lyrical complexness compared to other tracksb ut this is more of a mainstream single and i usualy dont like emcees taming down on there complexity but he pull soff a flawless delivery with a ha rhyme scheme so have to gie props. plus probs are do to his vidness of the heartbreak that you can envision what hes spitting in your had as you listen even if you dont watch the video. Now the hook i like alot its poppish yes but its heavily relatable "you push me away when you get closer one day your guna end up alone why you have to be so cold i feel like i have o be close cus your the one i wanted the most but your to glum to see in my soul". its relate able and spit with pain. J.rose finished off this track sticking to a nicely rhyme style "i wish i can melt the life that you sculpted out of ice" this line is original and creative she keeps the track smoothly. Overall it isn't her best lyrical effort but this is definitely a good song for radio play

rating C+
