There have been a few attempts this summer by local artist to put together a local compelation some were succesfull some flopped this time around jon qwest host sex drugs and hip-hop vol 2 and brings his rap associates along for the ride. Qwest shines on most of the tracks on the album but like room full of hate he cant decide if he wants to be underground or mainstream. On tracks like knock out qwest shines lyrically and shows why hes one of the most respected local artist, but on tracks like peanut butter ice cream he becomes a gimick and cant stay with anice lyrical style. Why cant any artist stay consistant wit there flow even if there doing mainstream tracks. The guest on this album shine harder then the host. Certified stunnas bring a invectious streat banger on the track strait from the ghetto, lyrically there on top and dilvery hits the fast pace of the style even though the autoned style hook kills it a little bit. One of the albums standoouts in raun g lasts day. Theres someof jake haze's top tracks on this album, but overall what saves this albumis casino ent, the jersey natives show why theve been hyped all over the net. Lights camera action has to be the best track on this album for the rock style beat andmicky blue eyes hard gritty streat delivery and hard hitting punches that are impressive and effective. the like usal britney rae brings her dynamic voice to bring the hook to life and bring a underground act mainstream excemtable without selling out. She even spits a hot 16 on lights camera action str8 tripple threat. This album is inonsistant but does haveits bright points, cant wait for the enw casio ent. album there gunna be a force to wreckon with in the local scene
