sunday night ryme session at mothers bar and grill REVIEW

Before i go into reviewing the actual show i gotta make a statement. Local artist always complain the lehigh valley doesn't show love to local hip-hop and bitch and complain thats there no local hip-hop gigs. If sunday night is any proof i say bluntly and remorsley that the biggest unsupporters are the artist themselves. There was a mild turnout and besides 2 exceptions the only artist to come out were the artist on the bill. If u want the valley to support local artist local artist SHOW SUPPORT TO YOUR FELLOW LOCAL ARTIST. That being said the show started off slowly. Close to a 2 hour delay do to artist being late. Thats another thing gigs for hip-hop acts are hard to get so when they come around dont slack off like your some pre-madonna superstar. Being late to a gig locally may cost u ever performing again. Big ups to dj zen one of the lehigh villians who held it down ith a aray of hip-hop tunes both new and old school to keep the crowd in tune till the show actually started. gotta say if it wasnt for dj zen one most local aritst wouldnt even know easton is on the map with hip-hop, but hes one of the only people getting gigs for local artist so show him some magor love. The show started off with easton based lehigh villians who showed a strong stage presence. Good comand of the mic and the audience. The only magor flaw was a distorted mic used by zen one witch made it hard to here his vocals. After his set there was a suprise performance by host godilla who was filling in for ed monsta who's wife just had a kid. Congrats homie. He held it down like a pure professional comanding the crowd during his performance. Its nice to see that on the local level artist still know the meaning of stage presence, and when it came to rocking the crowd one act subsided over the overs, allentown based h.u.r.t. They performed local hits g.r.i.n.d and cheers getting the crowd involved in each song on there set. Buying a round of drinks for the fans setting up a memorable finale when they performed cheers. Thats what makes a show memorable when a artist or group get the whole crowd involved. Personally the highlight of the night for me was philly native erk the jerk, who got the crowd wiled up with A FUCK U JERK chant leading into a verocious delivery of lyrical prowness. Getting in the face of crowd members and just putting on one hell of a performance. The show ended with a open mic freestyle session where big bam, godilla, and lokey7 ended the night in a old school cypher styled freestyle session. This is hoping to be the begining of a weekly ritual at mothers for this to happen we need support so get out and support ur fellow artist
