For every rapper making it in the industry is there goal. Most rappers enjoy the fame and regonition of stardom. Love the touring traveling and support of fans. Some on the other hand get so consumed into the industry that they forget about the people that got htem there in the first place. There friends, family, women there dating. they get so overwelled with sucess that they forget what got them there in the first place. This is the case for allentown native and philly born lokey. Even though not a huge name no distrubution deal or even a record deal lokey still managed a cult following in the juggalo community, performing at the gathering of the juggalo 3 years straight and beign feautured on the hachet house release tunnel runners. 10 years in the industry and ten strong years it was. STarting off in 1999 recording his firt ep with a local philly emcee 100 proof (not the white rapper 100 proof) lokey began his career allready a well recieved artist getting local aclaim from the sorrounding scene. Over the next 2 years lokey would make sure to make a name for himself. Starting the group "temple rain" with fellow philly natives green villian and sleepy lokey would go from critcally aclaim to acheiving a cult following in the philly scene by his undying hustle to get there music out there. Lokey spent hours a day posting and handign out flyers otn he streets slanging samplers and makign itnereactions with his fans witch most "corner cd hustles" wouldnt give the time to do. Most people would sell you a cd and walk away lokey would talk to his fans and make sure they new they were apriacted for buying the cd. Temple rain released to cd's before there break up with lokey being the only one to make moves out of the defucnt ban. With allreayd a cult local folowing lokey connected more wiht the local scene and starting producing for sorrounding artist making himself nto only well recieved rapper but a prducer as well. In 2004 lokey finally decided to release his solo debute follow me as a free net download. Allready with a cult followign and his obbesion to get his name out there lokey manage to get 43'000 people to download his debute album. This is an impressive feat for a rapper who has no dsitrubution deal nor no label support. Unliek ost artist gettign worse from release to release lokey manage to get better each release and gett better recvieved with his next to lps to finally in 2006 he garned enoguh attention that phycopathic records had got in touch with him to go on tour with blaze ya dead homie and boondox on there tombstone terror tour. All the hustle has finally paid off for a starving artist, finally getting national aclaim on 2008 tunnel runners released of hatchet house records. With his crew intact mission infect lokey looked like he would be the next CULT hero in the underground scene making a movemnet of the likes of kotton mouth kings and insanse clwon posse. but with allthe exposure lokey drifted from the limelight to settle down on rapping goign on hiatus to get his life together. As hestated "I'm taking off now, to try and get my life together. I always said I'd never "quit" music, because every rapper does that and comes back a year later. And who knows, maybe I will. All I know is right now I need to disappear" so this aint goodbye"
This isint a goodbye this is just a hiatus and hopefulylwhen lokey returns he will take the music industry by storm
