Rappers in todays society set a bad example on todays youth. Every track filled with graphic profanity tales of drug dealing and violence, sexual inuando in 95 percent of the top 10 rap tracks out now adays. So its a breathe of sunshine when you see a rap cd that doesnt have a explicit warning sticker on it. Its even a bigger breather when you go on the artist myspace you see hes christian rap. Even more of a breather a cristian rapper who actually has underground vibe to his beats adn actually using worplay and metephors and double rhyme schemes while delivery his message about the lord. Jersey native jive the universal isnt your average cristian rap artist. He could easily crossover into the demanding underground rap scene and get the same respect in love as every other emcee. His new album helping you feel better is a 13 track cd doign exactly what the title says to help make u feel better., and after listing to thsi cd i deffintly feel better about the current state of hip-hop. on the 2nd track of the album the one is a ode to the lord helping him get to where he is without out being to preach yusing metaphors that could easily impress the average hi-hop fan "sacrife a lamb ill sacfrice a hand just to gain u as a fan" Not only is this a great cristian rap cd its also a great rap/rock cross bread cd not your every day rap/rock cd not hard rock but most instremntals are acusitic slow vibed guitars played by jive himself and at tiems imcorpting other local bands to do the instrementals. On the track to be honest he brings jersey rock band nine circles to incorprate the guitar and the hook and the results is a amazing perfectly blended rap/rock record. The first verse jives rhyme scheme is amazing incoratign double and tripple multi rhyme schemes in every bar and excuting it with no filler witch even most underground cats cant do nowadays. Overall this album si nto only uplifitn and positve its a amazing hrap cd good for any true udnergroudn fan cristian or not
