610 XPOSED: RED MCFLY (THIS WILL CAUSE HEAVY BACKLASH"

when i was in jail last year another inmate on my block would make claim he ran a record label called q records that was home of bg and claimed he was dating the chick from j-holidays bed video. He had false business cards, a false website, and even a false wikipedia made for this false label. I believed him actually in till i got out and checked bg' website to see he wasn't signed to such label, out of a long-shot i wrote bg on myspace asking if he ever heard of this guy shockingly he wrote back and responded "no clue who he is just another wanna be rapper trying to get success from others". When i got out this got me thinking about a claim a local hip-hop artist made with no fact base around it earlier in the year. red mcfly was promoting himself as the headline for kid cudi's performance at Lafayette college in april of 2010. He promoting it on facebook and myspace and never once did i think any suspicion of it because he was a lv award winning rapper and looked to be respected in the 610 scene. I was at that show and the only opening act was chiddy bang, i had confronted him the next day and he said he got a call hours before the show from kid cudis manager that chiddy bang could be the only opening act but red claimed "that he be touring with kid cudi next year" if anyone who's doubting all quotes im using are direct quotes from facebook and aim conversation with the people im quoting that i have saved in my inbox to be disclosed if needed. Anyway this was kind of suspicious for the fact that he never once posted on facebook that he was told not to open up so people had believed this. Like i said i did to since he was locally recognized. This was the first of many doubts and false promotion techniques used by red mcfly over the course of 2010-2011 from fake collabo's and mix tapes to paying labels to distribute his stuff. Im the type of guy who has to have my suspicions proven right before i make a steady conclusion. So even though he had many questionable carer moves he was claiming i still had some belief dude was legit since no one has proven him wrong. A few month ago my suspicions started becoming fact. Me and a writer from philly based 215hiphop.com started discussing the insane and dishonest promotion tactics artist used to get heard and how the days of slanging demos and making a buzz from your self is gone. This discussion was actually on a youtube video i posted on facebooks status comments of soundclick artist hard target putting all his videos under new eminem songs to get known. During this discussion i actually brought up red mcly's new mixtape back to the future that he claims was released off def jam and how i thought he was using that as a promotional technique. My source ended up sending me this link http://www.idjfirstlook.com/faq its a def jam distribution deal where a artist can pay the label 50 bucks to digitally distribute your album on i-tunes. You are not signed to the label or have any ties to the label def jam just puts your album on i-tunes for a cost. After finding this out i told my source other doubts i had about red including his 2 most successful mix tapes he was featured on one being revenge of the nerds2 and the other being the mixtape we run pa that featured red wiz khalifa and meek mills. My source let me know two things very valuable one that the revenge of the nerd mixtape serious that red was featured on was fake as hell. In 2006 lupe fiasco released a acclaimed mixtape entitled revenge of the nerds that got over 25k downloads and it was suspicious reds mixtapes had the same name. Now looking at the cover of the mixtape series it shows the redlight clothing presents logo on it http://www.datpiff.com/Lupe-Fiasco-Revenge-Of-The-Nerds-mixtape.117239.html. he used the name of a well known mixtape to get plays hopefully lupe didnt have the mixtape name copy written and is lucky it was a free dl or hed have copywrite issues and finical issues fom taking dl's away from lupe. Now you may say alot of artist do this true but alot of artist dont buzz off it and alot of artist dont make direct claims to have "earned a spot on the mixtape" cus if people remember when red was promoting the mixtape he always said "looks who's music made it in lupes pocket" acting like lupe fiasco had co-signed him. Now red has always done this on is 3 year in a row lv music awards all his mixtapes her filled with verses from industry artist and never labled mixtape and claim as legit collaborators. 610 artist have been furious for years because this sleazy tacic has taken away chances for true musicians with true grinds to get recognized. Artist like king magnetic who have ACTUAL RECORD DEALS get snubbed for this front. I mean it would be one thing if hed admit that he faked these tapes but he always claimed legitimacy and it wouldnt be such a big deal if he wasnt buzzed and taken chances away from hard working grinders to get recognized it because of it. The revelation though that got me wanting to do this article though wasnt the revenge of the nerds mixtape series it was the we run pa mixtape cus not only did red claim the mixtape was real he claimed a legit collab wit wiz khalifia. Like i said my source is a writer for 215hiphop.com who also host the philly hip-hop awards and actually confronted meek about this who said "it's sad when artist get so desperate they have to resort to bullshit like this" and also stayed after listing to the mixtape "if this mixtape would have gone global there would be legal issues pressed because it hurts his reputation working with a sub-par rapper." after finding this out i took a second listen to the wiz khalifa collab and googled wiz's lyrics to find out they were from his hit "my plane." now one if your gunna steal a verse make sure it isnt from on of the rappers biggest hits. I posted i was gunna air out red mclfy on facebook and he confronted me saying king magnetic allready called him out on the issue and it was resolved, he claimed that "a promoter had ripped him off claiming to be wiz's manager and he thought he actually had a real collab with wiz." if this is true one he must not be a huge fan of wiz not to notice the verse came from one of his most know songs, and also hes a total bullshiter because why didnt he press charges on the promoter. i confronted him on everything else and he said everything else was "a promotion tactic alot of artist do it and that though his promotion tactic he had signed with french montanas "coke boys label" so i decided to put this article on hold. I first started getting suspicion this was fake when redlight artist vera started promoting a label called paper union music http://www.facebook.com/pages/Paper-union-music-group/216287315072016 that said they were aligned with the coke boys yet again the only likes are red associates. I also started getting suspicios when the video for vera's collab with the coke boys produced by red mcfly came out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmYJhQJA7lE first off in the begining of the video one of the coke boys mentions "is that all if not itll cost you more" then when the video starts every time its time for vera to spit it switches to movie scenes and vera when scene on screen is never scene with the coke boys. Now if there so down with the coke boys why isnt vera spitting the track with the coke boys, and a link on the video mentions the paper union managment acting like they manage the coke boys. red was claiming hes signed to the coke boys now he manages the coke boys this makes no sense at all. More false claims from the fakest dude in the a.b.e. Then yesterday i was discussing this with a local artist who has legit ties to french montana who stated "every1 in my city knows thats a lie cause akon lil bro runs the label & its not even a real label they dont even have the right 2 sign any 1 & we kno the jewler who makes French's chains & there all fake lmao". Now im a crtitics but also legit i checked my sources one of the artist signed to my 2nd source label actually did a legit collab with akon i googled all lyrics nothing popped up. So once again red is using false promotion tactics to get known. This has to stop cus foreal there are artist in the a.b.e that actually have been featured on national releases with overseas buzz like magnetic, godilla, adlib, uncany legit collabs with industry artist, tug mgraw feat joel ortiz, face the beast feat joel ortiz, shit we even have a artist who was HEAVILY KNOWN IN THE EARLY 90'S hurricane g but all this gets overshadowed with non hip-hop heads believing reds bs and none ever get regonized at local award ceremonies. While im on this another artist locally who royally pisses me off is the hypocritical jake haze last year he made such a rant on stashbox how the lv music awards needed a change and real artist needed to win yet again dudes wins VIDEO OF THE YEAR for a song THAT DIDNT HAVE A VIDEO SO HOW WAS THIS VOTED VIDEO OF THE YEAR IF THE VIDEO DIDNT COME OUT TILL AFTERWORDS. SHIFTY AS SHIT some one deserving like l.perfex, phillup banks, adlib, or uncanny should of one this not a non video. THIS BULLSHIT IN THE 610 HIP-HOP SCENE NEEDS TO STOP anyway big ups to the artist actually buzzing that desevre it phillup banks, face the beast, def star pachino, automaic, godilla, tug mcraw, uncanny, adlib lpefex, mb , h.ur. even YOUNG TROUBLE love him or hate him dudes one of the most buzzed about artist in the 610 and he didnt get that way by fake collabos, fake record deals or promo str8 street grind gotta respect that

Do you know what's worse than people who make excuses? People who make excuses for others...

You can say ALL that you want about REDLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT and RED, because it's YOUR opinion, but the reality is that while your UN-NAMED SOURCES tell you one thing, I can substantiate the WORK that RED puts in when it comes to his videos, CD's, performances, etc. People are angry because he has a mind to work and KNOWS how to market himself and his brand. Isn't that what it's all about? Aren't we ALL trying to get ourselves out there to get noticed and obtain value in ourselves? Yes, I may be biased, but I can tell you that I have been there when Red performed at CRASH MANSION in NYC, I have been there at S.O.B.'s when RED spoke to XV and his beat producer and they not only liked his CD, "REVENGE OF THE NERDS" but asked to collaborate and do future projects; I have been there when DEF JAM execs have asked RED to do projects for their events in Miami. The problem you and other artists have in the 610 is that you all STAY in the 610! Sure, you have a few who keep talking about overseas tours and label signings but they don't PROMOTE/MARKET, thus all of their work (and for some, YEARS of work,) go largely unnoticed. RED does and that's why he gets awards, he gets shine, he gets respect, he gets paid gigs, he gets clothing endorsements/sponsors, etc. He is a multi-tasker. He does videos, produces, creates websites, creates themes and projects for other 610 rappers and doesn't "hit them on the head" financially for quality work because he KNOWS what it's like to have a dream and not have the dollars. He doesn't have $5,000.00 worth of equipment and yet his videos are more popular than others who have movie-like quality. People actually LIKE RED and he is down for the people. He goes hard and people KNOW this. In fact, you just wrote 5 page investigative report in "ode to RED" so he definitely is on YOUR mind. Everyone wants to talk about "keeping it real" and "slanging CD's" which RED and his crew did last year at MUSIKFEST and are currently doing now (how do you think they pay for their office/business?) This is HOW they EAT!. So,whether you agree with his "tactics" or not, all is fair in love and war and in the rap game you "get up until you can get on" and if you or the OTHERS don't KNOW this by now, maybe this life is NOT for you.....

  2. And YET while you're writing ANONYMOUS blogs, he's heading out to do PAID performances in other states in JULY. SMH Again, if you want to prove something and rep B-town, STOP TALKING ABOUT IT AND BE ABOUT IT. It says alot when you can rep a town that cares nothing about you or hip hop, but can't sign your name to your own words....
